I have a side by side double barrel 10 gauge shotgun that I purchased new in 1975. It says on it….Made For Parker in Marixa Eibar Spain. I used it quite a bit years ago for goose hunting and painted it with a flat camo paint that should come off easily. It’s been well cared for. I haven’t used it in years and would like to sell it but have no idea what the value might be. I contacted a local gun shop but they were no help and offered me next to nothing for it sight unseen. Any ideas?? Thanks.

I’m looking for an over/under but i don’t have much cash. I have been looking at the Remington SPR310 and the Charles Daly 206. Any preference or better ones I’m missing?

Or is that just a figure of speech?
Most people use shotguns for home defense anyway?

12 ga. side by side. Right side says; J. Stevens Arms Company-Chicopee Falls, Mass. USA-(with#)5100. Left side says; STEVENS with an engraving of a bird dog. Top of barrel says; Selected Forged Steel and Proof Tested-12 Gauge-2 3/4 inch Chamber-. Doesn’t have a wood stock, it’s plastic. It’s a family piece and all the information on the gun has been lost. Please help me out.

The condition is very good. Probably 80-90% in my estimations. I’m trying to sell it and how much should I sell it for. I’m pretty sure the person I’m trying to sell it to will pay however much it is worth. Thank you.

I went to a local gun shop today and they had a used Remington 870 for 9. Is that a good buy? What are some things I can look at when buying a used shotgun?
Second thing I was wondering is what does it mean to have a modified choke and what does it mean to have the barrel riffled?
Ok, maybe I should be a little more specific so I don’t come off as as completely ignorant. I have shot guns all my life and have taken the hunter’s ed class. I know what a riffled barrel is. More specifically I guess I should have asked what the purpose of a riffled barrel in a shotgun was? Is it specifically for slugs or something? I don’t have too much experience with shotguns. Not as much as with my handguns and rifles. I have never owned a shotgun. I have been interested in getting one for awhile.

Im getting either remington or mossberg, I know its chevy/ford. anyways wondering which one would go better with a pistol grip (ill probably get the knoxx collapsible stock combo). I Like the mossberg setup with a regular stock because the safety and slide release are easily accessible but that changes with the pistol grip. If you have any experiences with either or both please let me know how you feel about it.
Im either going with the mossberg 590a1 or a similar remington. Im just wondering which one’s controls feel better with the pistol grip.

I’m going to buy another BP double barrel muzzle loader shotgun can you suggest one? Under 00 is what I am thinking. Chrome bore a plus as is long barrels, not looking for a coach gun. Will be used for waterfowl and small game.
Thanks!
Nice!
Any more out there?
Thanks for your answers.

I am trying to decide which gun would make for a better home defense gun.
I guess the pros/cons would be:
semi-auto handgun:
pros:
-Very light and easy to pick up and use.
-Easy to swing around quickly and point in different directions quickly etc (useful in close quarter situations).
-Can fire a lot of ammo quickly (semi-auto)
cons:
-Not as visually intimidating
-Not as audibly intimidating
-If your shot misses, it misses.
Pump action shotgun:
Pros:
-Very visually/audibly intimidating
-Extremely powerful at close range
-When you miss, you often still hit, since it sprays a big bluster of lead, instead of just one single bullet, when you fire a shot.
Cons:
-Heavy and awkward
-Tougher to swing around and aim quickly than the pistol
-Can’t fire rounds off as quickly (need to pump after each shot)
So which do you guys think makes for a better home defense gun?
P.S. I’m 6’1 220lbs, so kick is a non-issue for me on this topic.

i just bought a Mossberg 500 Field. the magazine looks as though it is long enough to hold five shells but i can only get three in. I looked at the schematics and it shows a limiting rod. i was wondering if i took the magazine off and removed this rod would i need to purchase a new spring or any other parts so i could get five shells into the tube magazine? or can i just use the parts that are in the magazine?
haha you were right on! thanks so much!

I need some help on COD 5 WAW on shotguns. I want to start using shotguns, and i have unlocked all the attachments for both the trench shotgun, and the double-barreled shotgun. Which is the best attachments for both of the shotguns? What perks are best for them? Please help.
Thank you.
Sincerily,
A person, lol.
The guy that answered first, you can’t have steady aim AND deep impact… -.-
