The Shotgun
Attack : 2
Defense : 4
or
AK-47
Attack : 6
Defense : 3
And if Shotgun are better for defending, does it automacticly use shotguns while being attacked or always use the better gun – AK-47?

I want to make an imitation replica of a double barreled shotgun, without the firing mechanism obviously, but with the ability to lock the shotgun. The "gun" would have to be foldable, but I’m not sure what mechanism to use to lock it in place. It has to be as simple as possible, as I’m going to use polyurethane to make it.

I am new to hunting and hope to go hunting in the fall. I have a mossberg shotgun. I was wondering if I can use this for a slug gun or should i purchase a diffrent barrel. Or can I just use 00 buck. Also what it the effective range with both. Also since im new to the whole hunting thing where exactly should I shoot the deer?

I am going to be hunting white tail deer this season, with a shotgun for the first time. My barrel is a smooth bore barrel, so I am wondering what kind of choke I should use, if I want to use, slugs, buckshot or sabot rounds. If anyone has any info it would be appreciated.
The current choke in my barrel is a Remington Mod Choke.

I’ll be buying a shotgun in a few months and I’m a bit confused by the current market. I’ve used shotguns before at the range, so I’m not clueless but whats the difference in, say, a turkey shotgun and a deer shotgun? Or a field shotgun and a waterfowl one? Or waterfowl and a tactical shotgun? I know that shotguns differ as far the the feel goes, some just feel right when you shoot it, but some don’t. However, whats the difference them that would make one better at shooting a turkey and another that makes it particularly good at taking down Waterfowl? My earlier understanding was that it was the load or shot that made that difference rather than the gun itself. I can understand barrels being better for some, one barrel is thicker or stronger for heavy loads while another could be lighter for light loads, but that doesn’t justify a whole different gun! Aren’t barrels changeable? How could one gun be better for different hunts?
I want to get a tactical shotgun, but I also want to have the option to hunt deer, turkey or waterfowl. Is that possible? Wouldn’t a gun that can defend your home against people also be just as useful taking down deer? Just change the shorter barrel to a longer one, right?
Thanks for the help.

The Navy has VBSS teams now, and they specialize in close quarters combat. The shotgun is the most effective weapon in that type of combat. However, it seems that a 6 round shotgun is the most used type of shotgun used. It has also been noted in the Bluejacket’s Manual about the 6 round capacity. Why won’t the Navy use the 9 round version? Wouldn’t those extra 3 rounds make a difference?
