My father-in-law bought it at a small rural gunshop sometime in the late 1960′s. The dealer called and offered to trade him two other guns to get that one back (whether for personal or financial reasons I don’t know). I don’t know what he paid then, but he wouldn’t give it back. Savage Arms won’t release any information about guns manufactured prior to 1995, due to a "management change" and "legal issues". It’s a beautiful gun with a fox engraved on one side. I would appreciate any guesses. J.D., you got anything for me? I hear from others here that I should listen to you because you "know your shi*." Thanks!
I recently inherited a couple of shotguns. I’d never sell them because of who they belonged to. But, for insurance purposes, I need to figure out a ball park estimate of their value.
One is a Remington 11-48 12 guage semi auto.
the other is Savage model 30 series E 20 gauge pump.
my friend has a SD87 GA Airsoft Pistol Grip CQB Shotgun from airsplat and im going to get a remington tac 1 from walmart and i want to know which gun would be stronger and better
I need to get a good Shotgun Microphone for the JVC GZ HD7 camcorder, but I have a limited budget after springing for the camcorder. What’s a good cheap one that would work with this camcorder’s hotshoe?
In multiplayer such as annex or guardian I always get killed with one shotgun shot. However, when I use the shotgun it does little to no damage. What gives?
I’m at the point where I don’t even want to play these anymore.
The gun is in shootable conditon. It is a grade two with fine twist barrels. On a scale of 1-10 the gun is about a 7. Can anyone can tell me what it is worth.
On amazon they have a DE M47 airsoft shotgun with all good reviews. I can also buy a high cap mag for it, 180 BBs. Is it a good gun? Also, is it bad to cock it more then once to shoot more then 1 BB?
Ok, I have been looking for a 12 gauge shotgun for a while. I new Wal-Mart had a mossberg 12 gauge pump action for 0, so i have been saving for it. just recently they got new supply of mossberg Maverick 88′s I’m not sure if its the same gun i saw 3 weeks ago, but its the same price so… I’m looking for a shotgun for protection and target practice, not hunting so much. the maverick is a great gun but has a 28" long barrel! I was looking for something shorter like 18-20" for around the same price and more or less the same gun. also I like the synthetic stock and the blued metal (the whole gun is the same color) but this is not a must. Does anyone have any suggestions on a cheap reliable 12 gauge shotgun? I’ve tried gunbroker.com but either the cheaper ones are 20 gauges or the price I’m looking for are for the tactical/assault kind of shotgun. Thanks
I would have to say my Ithaca 37, It is known to be my very first shotgun. I know for sure it is an older model due to the Magazine nut pin, which was used for leverage to screw or unscrew the magazine nut, and also having low matching serial numbers on barrel and receiver. I know the later models didn’t have the magazine nut pin. i think they discontinued that part sometime in 1956. It’s in really great condition over all, but the bluing has been worn down. Its been well taken care of long before i had it, and still is being taken care of by me. It is the slickest action i have ever felt in any shotgun, trigger pull is crisp, i can easily place 4 rounds in the mag tube quickly, and this model can slam fire, which i’ve done a couple times with ease, i can shoot this shotgun faster than any semi auto shotgun i’ve fired, it’s that great. So tell me, what are is your favorite shotgun? If i had a 2nd and 3rd choice, it would be the Wincester Model 12, and Remington 870.
I know what you mean be bferg. Everyone is entitled to there own opinion on what’s there personal favorites
