I’m 14, and wanting to srtide away from boy hunting, and i found the remington 11-87 in 20 gauge at gander mountain, it was a reasonable prise 9.99, and I’m really wanting to get it, but how bad is the recoil if I use 2 3/4” slug shells? And this will be a good choice on deer, right?

I am thinking about buying a shotgun for self-defense and just shooting for fun. I read some reviews and I think I’m going to go with a Mossberg, but I’m not sure which one. Its between the 8-shot 20in barrel, the 18.5in 6-shot, or the 6-shot with a 24in barrel and a 18.5in barrel. Any suggestions?

What would you do if your in traffic and a guy approaches your car with a pump shotgun?
If you are in your car and then you look and see a man with a pump shotgun approaching your car pointing at you and telling you to stay and you drive off and he shoots your car.

i know the gun is a Remington 870. But can I buy one like the movie? Has anyone seen one just like that? Or the grip? I really want to put the grip and pump on my shotgun. That’s badass looking.

Ok well I imagine that the longer the more accurate but I’m getting a shotgun for my birthday which is a few days away, and I am hoping to get a mossberg since it’s about all I could afford. But anyways I wanna use it for skeet shooting so is there a specific length that everyone uses to shoot skeet or will any length do?

I am wanting to buy a shotgun. Money is not an issue, but buying one seems to be one.
I am from Texas, but am enlisted in the Army in Virginia. From my understanding I need my Military I.D., Driver’s License and my Orders. I’ve been told I also need proof of where I live. I live technically live in the Barracks, and some bills go there, but I live with my GF. They said I need a hunting or fishing license also…any other things I need?

Ive been playing a lot of video games where the shotgun is basically useless over a couple of yards range. Is this true to real life? What would the damage actually be like over a longer distance, say 10 yards or more? Thanks

So I have decided that I’m going to start my collection of competition shotguns and found that within my budget are the Mossberg Maverick 88 and the Stoeger 350 Pump. Neither of the models I have in mind use the pistol grips. Both are smooth bore, although the Stoeger comes with 5 chokes.
As far as construction is concerned I have felt the Mossberg and for some reason the base pump feels flimsy. I have yet to handle the Stoeger though I am aware that it is also synthetic but also a longer weapon.
Anyone have any personal experience with either weapon? I would like to know your take on the individual constructions and the viability of them as competition pieces.
Thanks everyone.
