Airsoft shotgun or assault rifle?

i want a new primary airsoft gun and at ShortyUSA they have them for less than but at a store where i live they have an electric M16 that comes with red dot scope,laser,flashlight. for like . Which one should I get as a primary airsoft gun? And if you think I should get a shotgun should i get one with a butt or Military no butt tactical version. I personally like military based airsoft guns, so with or without butt?
The shotguns are pump action (spring)

First off, don’t buy off of ShortyUsa. They rip you off on shipping.
The AEG M16 will probably be crap so don’t waste your money on it. The red dot sight and flashlight are worthless as well.
If I were you I’d get a tactical airsoft shotgun. My friend has one and in casual play you can use it as a sniper and a primary weapon. Most airsoft shotguns have the ability to slam fire (holding the trigger and pumping) which increases the shots per second but can damage the gun.
I linked a site for the best tactical airsoft shotgun for the price. It’s the same one my friend has. It has a hi-cap mag included and can use the 20rd Cybergun/SoftAirUsa magazines. Make sure you use .20gram BBs because they work the best and hurt pretty bad.
