Benelli Automatic Rifle or Browning Automatic Rifle?

September 4th, 2010 by eranio

I am recoil sensitive. I get detached retinas easily. I need a low recoil rifle that fires a high powered bullet. Because of the economy, people are selling their guns like crazy here in Los Angeles. I can get a Browning Automatic Rifle in .270, or a Benelli .30-06, either one for 0. Which should I get?

Neither one, wait around for a Winchester model 100 to go up for sale.

Benelli does wonders for recoil reduction and are known for quality, I say go for the Benelli.

I would go with the Browning, especially if it has a B.O.S.S., which reduces recoil, and helps accuracy. Unless you are hunting bear, elk, or moose, you can probably do just as well with a .270. And people have killed even these animals with one, although, for them, I would recommend something heavier.

I’d go with the browning. It’s a more proven design, it’s been around longer, parts are more easily found if ever needed. On the other hand, I prefer the 30-06 hands down to the 270. Too bad it’s not a 30-06 browning. Well that’s my opinion, and it’s worth exactly what you paid for it.
