You have pretty much heard about all the pumps in that price range. Stoeger makes a model 2000 semi-auto 3" which can be had from $4-500. Stoeger and Benelli are both owned by Beretta, and the operating system of the 2000 is similar to the Benelli autos costing up to $1000 more.

i’m looking into a 870 Super Magnum in a 3.5" chamber. and what do u mean nicer? like the finish? The Wingmasters are really nice, but they are above that price range.

I’d say a Benelli Nova H2O.

I purchased a browning pump shotgun (BPS) micro in December at Gander Mountain for $399 + tax. It is a very nice firearm. My wife loves it (it was her christmas gift). I think you might find one in a 12 gauge, probably only 3 inch instead of the 3.5, for a similar price. I find they fit me better than the benelli nova.

Mossberg 500a I have 1 it has never let me down very accurate for a shotgun, It also has many add ons that can be purchased. weighs about 8-9 lbs and runs about $350 – $450. Excellent shotgun

A new shotgun doesn’t shoot any better than a GOOD used one.* Buy used and save $$$.* You have a lot to choose from for that amount of $$$, as long as you buy it used.*

I’d go with a Mossberg 835 I used to have one it takes 12ga 3 and a half inch magnums the only thing bad about it is you can’t use slugs unless you get a barrel for it but you can buy a combo package for it.I also had 2 Mossberg 500′s also I still have one they are really good shotguns also I had a 500 crusier and I still have a 590(It is really a 500)and I never had any problems with them.
