Best shotgun ammo for a 12G?

I’m looking for the best shotgun ammo I can get for a 12G shotgun. I want the most destructive/stopping force. I don’t really care if it goes though the walls or not I’m willing to take that chance. Right now I have normal 5 rounds of ammo in my chamber and 5 rounds of 3" 76MM Magnum turkey shot rounds which is my defensive rounds..they seem to be good but I want more power..so what are my options? Would Magnum slugs be better?
And please no anti gun comments..someone breaks into my house/car I’m not going to feel sorry for him and bake him a cake.
The 5 Magnum rounds are in the stock speed feed. just to clear up any confusion..basically so the shotgun keeps 10 rounds on it at all times.

try rio mini mags loaded with sg’s they will go through walls and no one can stand up with 10 pea sized pieces of lead in there chest.

Hornady tap ammo is what is in my home defense shotgun. It’s some great self defense ammo that is made for 2 legged critters not birds. It’s a 00 buck shot that will go through about 8 pieces of sheet rock. And will easily down any intruder and most likely anyone behind them. I wouldn’t recommend going with a slug as the recoil will be pretty intense and hard to manage and make quick follow up shots hard.

I hunt pigs with a 12ga and use Winchester Buck Shot 00/SG. This has around 10 large ball bearings and will rip the shit through what/who ever you shoot. One shot to a pig and it is down!!!!. This is really good because it sprays what you are shooting at—If you want more knock down and are using it at close range go for 000 Buckshot loads, they have much larger ball bearings but less of them- they will fuck something/someone up even if you just hit them with one of the ballbearings- if you get a good grouping on them they are pritty fucked!!!! All you have to do is aim around about at the leg and these loads will blow it right off!!!

yes stagger you loads as follows door opener 2 3inch mags 00 buck,,, 3 3 inch mags number 4 shot, person whom opened door,,then follow up with 3 inch mags in slugs hp,,, take your time calling 911 ok tu eddie good self defense,, i would go with 3 inch numbers 2 steel shot i do

Buck shot does do a number on game,deer and pigs etc…I am sure that it would be hell on a person,remember that the shot will not be spread out so much at short distances so shooting at an intruder in your hallway which is probably 20 feet max will be that much more devastating,you wont just clip him with one or two shot he will take the full load and no one,not even a huge guy like the Rock can shrug that off so put me down as another vote for buckshot

If you want the most stopping power then look at this stuff…. Its called Rhodesian Jungle ammo — 12 gauge shotgun cartridges… Just the thought of using this stuff gives me the creeps…..

Among most people I know 00 buck is generally accepted as the best round for varmints of the two-legged variety… however after looking at some of the stuff on those websites METROPOL posted I am definitely reconsidering… that is some scary s***

If your looking for penitration look into the Brenikee rifled slugs. If you want to go with shot OOO BK buckshot would be the next step down. Personally I find the 3" magnum more punishing on me then any beifits you get from using them, plus you lose a round capacity when using them.
