The Mossy 500 series can accept pistol grips, full stocks, pistol grip stocks, whatever. Forget the pistol grip though, the stock is much better for aiming. Yep. I would recommend a conventional style stock. There is nothing wrong with the stocks that have both a pistol grip and a shoulder stock, and personally, I actually prefer them on other guns, but on a Mossberg, they block easy access to the safety.
