I have found that all shorter barreled shotguns or "coach guns" that i like do not have automatic ejectors. Ive looked at stoeger and a few others. Im sure all the guns ive seen leave off ejectors because cowboy action shooting prohibits ejectors. I am not a cowboy action shooter and probably never will be. I would really like a nice short barreled double gun with extractors because the extractors make reloading so much easier. Any information on where to find a gun like im looking for would be much appreciated.
I am looking for a reasonably priced factory produced gun. Thanks for the suggestion though, a custom gun would solve my problem, i just dont have the money for that.
I live in Kentucky USA if that makes a difference to anyone.
I honestly didnt think anyone made them. Thats why i figured id give it a shot on here. All the short barreled double guns are obviously marketed towards cowboy action shooters. The only reasonable solution i can think of is to buy a longer barreled double gun with ejectors and haave a gunsmith cut the barrel to 18". I may just buy one without ejectors and deal with it.

Notice how the Marine in Doom doesn’t have a name? I think I finally figured out who he is. He loves that shotgun and blasting the Baron’s of Hell with it!

My father passed down a 12 gauge double barrel (side by side) shotgun, and I am having a difficult time identifying it.
The right barrel is stamped ‘Holland Arms’ DIVN, the left barrel is stamped 12 gauge 3" M&F Made in Spain
There is a marking of Z H on the bottom of the pistol style grip.
Can you tell me who made this shotgun (It is not a Holland and Holland – they were made in the UK)?

I have a double barrel Stevens 12 gauge and I was thinking I wouldn’t need a slug barrel if I was going just shoot a slug maybe once or twice.

It’s a double barrel shotgun that has a 20” barrel. It has fixed chokes (IC and M). I’ve never been rabbit hunting before but I’m interested in starting. Thanks for the information.

My double barrel shotgun has a modified choke and a full choke. Is it okay to shoot LEAD buckshot through both of them?Try to keep in mind that it is an older shotgun, (12 ga. I’m not quite sure how old it is, probably somewhere from 50 – 15 years old), so it probably has wall thinner than most shotguns made today.
Thanks A LOT!!!!!

I have a few double barrel shotguns I wish to date. They’re belguim made damacus steel.. I shoot them all.. with the correct black powder loads of coarse. 1) T Barker 2) Improved Fremont 3) W. Moore and sons. The T Barker and W. Moore have the rabbit ear hammers, the Fremont is hammerless and has a safety (that actually works!) Any how.. I was just wondering if anyone out there may be able to date these guns for me, or help me look for any identifying marks to denote a year, or push me towards a website that can help.

Lets say both the double barrel and the semi auto are both empty. Which one would be faster to go from unloaded to shooting?

My grandfather has an 1864 (or 1884 – he can’t see well) New Haven Arms Co. double break barrel stage coach shotgun in excellent condition. He said the old Wells Fargo armed guards used them to defend cash stage coaches from cowboy bandits while transporting gold and silver coins to and from banks in the wild west. Each barrel fires independently and the gun has two triggers. The gun is rather ornamental and looks very nice. If you need to know more let me know and I will ask him and post his responses since he is not net savvy. I think he wants to eventually sell it but I am not sure…
He wants to know the value range and how to properly clean it.

ACTUALLY: No one has answered this question.
No value and no cleaning tips.
USELESS.
