I’m looking to get a 20ga. Remington 870 Express shotgun.(http://www.remington.com/products/fi…70_express.asp)
Please click on the above link and tell me this, this gun the way it comes, is the choke integrated with the barrel or can i change the choke tubes out? And if i take the choke tube out can i shoot slugs in it? Also what 20ga. load do you recommend for deer.
Thanks

I’m getting in to skeet or clay target shooting and thinking about trying to get in some competitions or something. i currently have a 12guage Remington 870 pump-action shotgun. All the people Ive seen in the competitions have used the over and under shotguns. i was wondering if there’s a regulation as to what type of shotgun is required to be used in the competitions?
Thanks,

Hey just asking you guys if one-hand pumping a Remington 870 or any shotgun for that matter will cause harm or damage to it.
In case you don’t know what I mean, its when you grab the pump with your right hand (or whichever handed you are) and that’s your only grip on the gun, then move your arm down really quickly to pump the gun.

I’ve decided to get a Remington 870 12 gauge shotgun. My primary purpose for this gun is to hunt deer. For my area I’m required to shoot a shotgun instead of a rifle. I would like to know if it’d be better to get a smooth barrel or a rifled one and the ammunition that be best for that type. Thanks in advance!

I was cleaning my shotgun yesterday using Remington Brite Bore Bore cleaner. I got some on my jeans and shirt, and put spray and wash on them to get the stain out. Later, I washed them with other clothes, and the stain came out, but it left everything that I washed with it smelling like bore cleaner. I washed them again, and even soaked them in detergent for an hour, but the smell is still there. How can I get the smell out of the clothes?

I own a 11-48 remington sportsman autoloading shotgun. I was wondering how to remove a chamber shell with out firing it. It seems that when you chamber a round theres no way to get it out unless you fire it. Help please.

i have been looking at getting a shotgun for home defense. I do not hunt so i dont see myself getting the combo kits. I heard that the tacticle ones even with shorter barrells you can still be pretty accurate with skeet shooting. So i was wondering what should i spend this on? remington 870 tacticle 7 shoot? moosburg 500? 500 just in case? or benelli supernova (dont think i spelled that right) i heard pardner brand is not that great. Really leaning towards the 870. Just looking for other inputs. I was reading the reviews on the 500′s and some people stated they had problems with the barrell rusting but i thought mossburg was supposed to make great shotguns so i was thinking that was the owner not taking care of the gun. Looking to spend 0 at the most.

I also have some shotgun shells purchased by my grandfather some 15 to
20 years ago (back when a box of buckshot ran .79 ) and was wondering
whether or not they were safe to use. I have newer ammo I use but I
also would like to know, because he did purchase a sizeable amount of said
ammo and it would save me a few dollars. Remington 12g Buckshot and
Turkey shots.
Also, does anyone know the value of a Remington 1100 12g shotgun from 1968 (VG condition)

I recently purchased a remington 870 express for home defence. I have children in the home so I would like to keep it safely secured. But I also want it to be ready to go when needed quickly. Any ideas?

I have an airsoft Remington Tac 1 shotgun, but I want to upgrade to a good electric assault rifle, that is on the cheaper side (no more than 0)
Would a good Scar Light be in the mix?
Any other suggestions are welcome.

Plus with the safety in front of the trigger guard makes it so much nicer than a remington who’s safety is in the back of the trigger guard. So you can take off the safety and pull the trigger in one movement.
That or the Ithaca model 37 which I also love and own.
The 1300 is nice but is just a cheaper to manufacture version on of the model 1200.

I need a shotgun for grouse while I go out deer hunting. I will also be hunting beaver(don’t ask because it’s legal) would I be better served with a Remington 870 express in 12ga (26" barrel) or a stoeger coach gun supreme with interchangeable chokes in 12ga (20" barrel). What choke and load would I use for ruffed grouse and what choke. Would IC be good.
