I just purchased a Remington 870 express shotgun with a 28" bbl vt 12ga. rem choke
can I use this gun for turkey and deer hunting with the 28" barrel that came with the gun. or do I have to buy another barrel for turkey or deer hunting? I want to hunt at 40-50 yards max. what about for target practice is this barrel ok?

I have been looking at the remington 870 express super mag. Do I really need something that big or can I go smaller and which 870 would be recommended
I am also looking at the Mossberg 500. I would like one that comes with at least a couple chokes and the deer barrel

I have a Remington 870 with a 2 shot extension on it. for deer hunting here in new york you cannot have more than 5 shells in the mag. Can I use a magazine plug to get me back to the 5 shells or do I have to keep taking the extension on and off?

I recently acquired a Remington Model 17 shotgun. I was wondering where on the gun i can find the grade. I found a spot right on the barrel next to the breech that says "0B" and thought that might indicate a 17b "special" grade.

My grandpa is giving me his 1100 12 gauge and my dad might buy land by my house and it’s in a shotgun zone for deer hunting, and I want to know if I could get an interchangeable rifled barrel or if it would be eaiser to use rifled slugs or a muzzleloader.

Weatherby PA-08 Pump-Action Shotgun or Remington 887 Nitro Magnum Shotgun im looking in something that will last me a wile, wont jam as much or not as all, and is in the 300 to 400 price range if there are any other good shotguns in that price range pleas your input is needed.
She has to be a 12 gauge and ill be using her for clay pigeons, pest around the ranch, turkey and water fowl.

allright i love tactical looking guns and so we have a Remington 870 tactical (folding stock, 18" barrel, etc). so if i wanted to use this for bird hunting, instead of buying a new shotgun, could i just go over to gander mountain and pick up a remington 870 hunting barrel and swap it with the tactical one? would it work?

also, i was thinking about just buying a new hunting shotgun anyway (remington 870 express). can i put tactical foregrips/stocks on this?

i am wanting to get a shotgun, i was thinking a remington 870, but then yet i dont know many more models, i love to turkey hunt, and duck hunt, and possibly try water fowl and pheasent, and quail. it needs to be able to have a camoflauge stock, and the right size barrel, i am mainly looking to be suggested a good barrel length and model of any company of shot gun. thanks

Sometimes, just sometime, rarely.. But i would like to know why my 12 Guage Remington 870 Express Super Magnum when I coc k it wont coc k? Like sometimes I will shoot a couple rounds and sometimes when I go to coc k it for the next shot it wont. I have to force coc k it to coc k it.. Any reasons why it would do this? It’s about a month old. Thanks for the feed back

Does anyone know if/how long I can keep some shotgun shells in the tube magazine of a Remington 870 before I risk damaging the gun by wearing out the spring? Any info would be appreciated!

i just got the Remington 887 combo and was wondering if anyone has seen an aftermarket picatinny rail for a scope mount. it has three screws on the top so it is tapped for a scope mount. The tactical version of this gun comes with one so there must be something, however i have not seen anything on Remington’s web site or anywhere else for that matter. i bought a weaver rail for shotguns but it didn’t fit maybe a different style or something if anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated

I have the barrel that came with my shotgun on my gun right now. It has a single bead and I just bought a HIVIZ sight that requires removal of the bead so that I can screw the new sight in. I don’t have the manual anymore so I just wanted to ask if it could be unscrewed before I broke something.

I was sitting at my desk when all of a sudden my dog went bonkers i mean just insane!
So I grabbed my Remington 870 super mag loaded up with slugs, buckshot, and bird shot and headed out to look. I seen a cop drive by, BUT he didnt stop me.

He may have not seem me, but is it legal to carry a shotgun in your own yard in a suburban area
