semi auto shotgun Archives
Next year i will be in high school (9th grade). I’m going to join the 4-H trap shooting team. Should I get a semi-auto or a O/U. I want a 20ga (no 12GA). I’ve seen i few and going to get a job for the summer (so i can save up for it).
I have shot sporting clays before. I need a gun for comp. I have trained with pump.
Thanks all yall except the guy who said i shoud start with a pump.
all the 10 gauges ive seen are all ugly redneck wooden ones.
I may be moving there, I’m also curious, do they have a ban on high capacity magazines? Or shotguns that hold more than 5 rounds?
I have a 12-gauge single barrel shotgun and a .22 semi-automatic longrifle that I want to sell legally, because they are both registered under my name, I have a vali F.O.I.D. card and dont wanna have any troule with the law, I live in Chicago, IL county of COOK and have no idea where to go to find a potential buyer for my weapons,
Due to my countries law you are not allowed to hunt with semi-auto or pump action shotguns.I currently own an under and over shotgun, I was thinking of buying a IAC 12ga lever shotgun (made in china) are they any good? I will mainly be hunting rabbits and foxes. how do you load the IAC shotgun.Thank You
ANY TYPE OF RIFLE/SHOTGUN! BEST FOR MY PRICE RANGE?
I have about 00 to spend on 2 guns I want a shotgun and a rifle i could use for hunting. Honestly i want a good hunting gun, yet also a badass gun. SO not really any thing bolt action. AND i would also preferbly want a semi auto shotgun. My dad has a russian SAIGA and i like it alot. SO hit me up! I want somthing that wouldnt blow a deer in a million peices but yet take a boar down
My wife wants a revolver for at home and possibly to conceal in a purse as soon as she gets her permit.
She does not want a semi auto or shotgun, or anything like that.
Just a cheap, but durable revolver preferably in either 357 magnum, or something that she can shoot 38 +P in.
Is there anything good for around 0 or less?
It’s an older gun
I am in the market to buy my first shot gun in the next month or so. I want to be able to hunt any bird(turkey and duck mostly). I think i want to go for a semi-auto but am not 100% sure. I was at Bass Pro and like a Browning that they have that is a semi (not sure of the model but it was 9.99). I also liked the Remington 11-87.
I know i will be paying a premium for the name but is it worth it? Also, i like the look of a wood stock but i also like the camo. What are the pros and cons of them both? Also, are there any disadvantages to a semi besides harder to clean and might not cycle smaller shells?
I do not want to buy an 870 because i feel that i might later want to move up to a semi. I want to be able to keep this gun for years and years.
Lastly, i am open to any suggestions on OTHER shotguns besides the ones that i listed.
I know there is the "Blue Book of Gun Values" by S.P. Fjestad…but is there a place that lists this info online?

Does a gas powered semi auto or automatic shotgun need removable gas cartridges that need to be replaced?
I want to do the same with a Benelli semi auto shotgun
Ok all you gun-nuts. Need your help I.Ding a shotgun. Remington made a semi-auto shotgun a few years back, when I say a few years I mean 2 or 3…maybe even last year, it had a stainless reciever, blued barrel (12 gauge), came broken down in a green plastic box (not cardboard). It may have been a variation of the 1100 or the 11-87, but if it is, it must have been a special or limited edition as I don’t see it anywhere on Remingtons website now. All-in-all it looked like a fancy 1100 or 11-87 but with a stainless reciever and maybe some engraving?
rifle [16 or 17 they fit i forget] which would you pick?
id pick the shotgun and rush in on them
I would have to say my Ithaca 37, It is known to be my very first shotgun. I know for sure it is an older model due to the Magazine nut pin, which was used for leverage to screw or unscrew the magazine nut, and also having low matching serial numbers on barrel and receiver. I know the later models didn’t have the magazine nut pin. i think they discontinued that part sometime in 1956. It’s in really great condition over all, but the bluing has been worn down. Its been well taken care of long before i had it, and still is being taken care of by me. It is the slickest action i have ever felt in any shotgun, trigger pull is crisp, i can easily place 4 rounds in the mag tube quickly, and this model can slam fire, which i’ve done a couple times with ease, i can shoot this shotgun faster than any semi auto shotgun i’ve fired, it’s that great. So tell me, what are is your favorite shotgun? If i had a 2nd and 3rd choice, it would be the Wincester Model 12, and Remington 870.
I know what you mean be bferg. Everyone is entitled to there own opinion on what’s there personal favorites
i have a winchester model 140 20 gauge semi auto shotgun, it’s suppose to be a 3 shot auto loader, but i can only put 1 shell into the barrel/chamber……and 1 into the magazine, when i try putting the 3rd one in the magazine it will go most of the way in, but not all the way…..what’s the reason for this…..and also when i try ejecting the shells, the one in the barrel comes out fine, but the other one gets jammed like half way between the ejection port and the magazine, it goes all cock-eyed and wont come out…thats the best way to put it…hope someone can help.
Don’t really know much about guns, but am not completely stupid. Well, I have a Charles Daly 12 gauge field version semi-auto shotgun and I know it is chambered for 3 inch shells. My question is, if I get a 3 1/2 shells, will they perform better and will the 2 3/4 perform less better then the 3 inch? Also, can I even shoot 3 1/2 and 2 3/4 shells in my gun, or is it not recommended to shoot either, just 3? Also the shotgun holds 4 shells total, maybe 5, just haven’t tried to push it in with force, but do they have tube extenders for semi-autos, especially for charles daly? Hear they are hard to find if they have any because they are marketed under a different name but is this gun similar to any brands that could have accessories for this gun? Thanks to all the answers! Also I have a modified choke with a smooth bore, rifled slugs be good for this?
I am trying to find a semi auto 12 gauge camo shotgun for duck seaon. I dont feel like spending 00 or anything so far I am looking at a Stoeger M2000 for 9 that shoots 2 3/4 and 3" shells. But I heard that they have a lot of problems and stuff. I am also looking at the Charles Daly VR-MC Adv Max 4 HD gun for 5… got any other guns that are good?
I have a Remington 11-87 Synthetic but I want a camo gun that wont rust. I dont have 0 to spend on a gun, more like 400-450
