Anyone have a realistic idea of what firearms or accessories that could be banned?

April 16th, 2010 by eranio

I heard from a sales associate at Cabela’s that pump shotguns and semi auto 22′s could be on that list. Anyone have any clue and have something to back it up?

Winchester Model 1300, and a savage semi auto?? whitetail hunting?

April 10th, 2010 by eranio

Its my first year hunting whitetail, i will be using a 12 gauge, 2 and 3/4" slug. I will be hunting a winchester model 1300 or a some savage semi auto. I just picked up federal truball, winchester super-X , remington slugger and winchester supreme platinum tip slugs. Whats the effect range? There both smooth bored shotguns. and open sights.
They all say 1 oz execpt the winchester supreme. It says 400 grains. How big is the 1 oz. whats that mean? im good with rifles but i dont know anything about slugs

What is a good beginners shotgun?

April 8th, 2010 by eranio

i live in UK and i am looking to buy a shotgun that is good for beginning shooting. i don’t care if it is pump action, semi auto, o/u, s/s. because in UK it can only hold a max of 3 cartridges or else it is classed as a section 1 firearm. i will be doing clay pigeon shooting and the odd hunting.

What is a good starter shotgun?

April 7th, 2010 by eranio

I shot clay pigeons today for the first time, and now I’m hooked. I have been target shooting for well over fifteen years with rifles and handguns, but I’ve hardly ever touched a shotgun until today. I fired a 410, 20, and 12 gauge. In the 20, I shot a pump and a semi. Obviously, I liked the semi-auto the best, but I’m not ruling out a pump. I’m looking for quality, but not too expensive. I doubt whether I’ll ever hunt, so this will be strictly for trap.
Thanks for the info DTT. Can I get a decent trap gun for around 0? How much is the Rem 870 Trap? I don’t want to spend too much because as for right now, I don’t know how often I’ll be able to shoot. This will be strictly for fun. I doubt whether I’ll ever get competitive.

Can you help me determine why my Semi-Auto Browning Twelvette is Malfunctioning?*?

April 6th, 2010 by eranio

It is a two (2*) shot semi-automatic shotgun.* It fires the First round, but fails to eject it all the way and blocks the 2nd round from going into the chamber for the 2nd shot..* Amateur, or Profession input or suggestions is greatly appreciated to get it back working properly so it will cycle both shots without jamming on the first shot.* It manually feeds, and ejects both live rounds without any problems.* It only malfunctions when you are actually shooting it.*
Everyone of you that said clean it completely were correct.* That was the problem.* Works like a trillion $$$’s now. Thanks a Million everyone.*

What shotgun action would you recommend for geese hunting?

April 2nd, 2010 by eranio

Is a semi-auto or pump action preferred. Also, what gauge would be best?

Responses from Anti-hunters will be laughed at.

What is the best duck hunting gun??

March 29th, 2010 by eranio

Humm.. I have just start duck hunting and am using an older Remington 1100. I want to buy a new gun for under 0. I would love for it to be semi-auto shotgun if possible. I have heard Charles Daly’s are pretty good and so is the price.

How do i choose what Shotgun I should buy?

March 24th, 2010 by eranio

I don’t know much about guns, but I want to buy a shotgun as my first gun. I’ll probably keep it forever and use it a lot before buying anything else. I was told by a shop keeper to get a 20 gauge but my uncle told me to get a 12 gauge. Whats the difference between the gauges? I want to use it to shoot birds when hunting (duck, geese, whatever else i can hunt here in Texas) and also for shoot practice shots at the range (clay flyers). What would you suggest as a good gauge and gun for me to buy? I’m willing to spend at most 500 but who knows, I’m new to this and don’t know how much i should be spending for a good gun. Oh and i think i want a semi-auto gun not a pump action, but i’m still not sure. please help.

Need help choosing a home defense shotgun?

March 23rd, 2010 by eranio

Recently, I have been doing a lot of homework on what home defense shotgun to buy, and I’d like to have everyone’s input on what they think is the best choice of the three shotguns that I can’t decide between. They are:
Mossberg 500 with 18.5" barrel
Stoeger Coach Gun (double barrel hammerless) with 20" barrel
Saiga 12 (semi-auto shotgun, 18.5" barrel)

There are advantages and disadvantages to all of them, so I’m having a tough time deciding on which one to buy. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Has anyone ever owned the Russian Saigan Semi-Auto Shotgun?

March 18th, 2010 by eranio

are they as good as the American made shotguns or better? I have heard that they can be fitted with a 50 round drum, and how accurate are they, say with 12 ga, 20 ga and .410 ga. What is a good load for maxium amount of damages to an attacker?
