What are the advantages/disadvantages of a shotgun. Also, I live in Michigan and am over 18. Do i need a hunter’s safety course to be able to get a hunting license?

I just turned 18 today (February 28th) and I am going to the gun shop to buy my first shotgun. I have my firearms safety course graduation certificate thats got my address, name, and DOB on it. Do I need picture ID or am I good to go?
I live in Connecticut, and either Cabela’s or Hoffman Guns.
So my firearms safety graduate certificate isn’t enough then. Thank you all for your answers.

My friend was borrowing my airsoft shotgun and it jammed. The thing that you pump is stuck and even though I used an unjamming rod the BBs would come out. Please help.

Hello all. I was just wondering what the difference is between a rifle and a shotgun. When I hear shotgun I think of a 12 gauge double barrel and when I hear rifle I think of a single barrel gun where you have a magazine. Am I right about these differences? Are there any other differences? Thanks.

I belong to a rifle club, and I am in fact interested in shotguns more than I am rifles. Would you go for a SxS shotgun, or a U/O, I prefer a U/O single trigger, what do you like most.

It is a side by side shotgun rifle combo. On the top is has nik szalier comp wien.On the bottom of the barrel is two sets of numbers. 22626 164 125 and 16857 L33 107. Any help would be appreciated

just wondering if an appraiser lets his trainee ride shotgun, or has him or her follow behind in their own car. I have racoons that come by and the get in the trash, so I figured I would saw off one of my shotguns so I can shoot them from a distance without hurting them too much and the government says that’s illegal. Why?
