Other than your collarbone? No. People have newbies do it just for fun. It is a tremendous blast to the shoulder, but not at all damaging to the shotgun unless it has a very weak (cracked and/or rotten) stock.
If you do it, be sure you’re in a safe location, since even a slight difference in timing may result in the second shot being thrown away from the intended target.
There is no valid reason for doing it other than just because it is loud and powerful. It is really a waste of ammo, but there’s no reason not to do it other than that.
It shouldn’t but the second shot will probably be a little off of your target since you will always pull the second trigger a split second after the first messing up your shot with the second
No it is ok to do that. It would depend on the target, how fast it was moving etc. It is a more common shot with a side by side rather than an under and over.
Only your equanimity. If the two shots are very close to instantaneous, both will miss. A double is regulated so it’ll hit where it’s pointed, taking into account that the recoil will swing the gun both up and slightly to the side of the barrel fired as the shot moves down the barrel. If the two were truly simultaneous (and you can bet they won’t be) there would be no swing to either side. As it is, there may be too little swing to one side and either too little or less than none for the other.

Hope I helped.

NO, but it really isn’t necessary to do that.*
