I'd re-check the tag. Good O/U's usually sell closer to 2000 than 200. Even turkish Baikal's are around 500 now.

$200 for any shotgun is insanely cheap. I wouldn't trust anyone selling me a "good quality" double barreled shotgun for $200 - especially a 12 gauge.

If you have a "Dicks" sporting goods store near you - i'd give them a shot. They sell nice stuff and it comes with a guarantee.

Stay away from Pawn Shops - i've been ripped off twice, they won't get me a third time, and as with everything, keep in mind that you get what you pay for.

$200 may sound like a great price - but if it breaks down shortly after buying it, you literally just throw $200 away.

My guess is a decent quality gun like you're looking for is going to run at least $600.

Mossberg
Remington
Browning

those are just a few great brand names for shotguns.

If you find a $200 double, then it's probably made with "water-pipe" barrels, or a seriously hurting "unit". Even the crap Baikals and Stoegers usually run around $450 and $500, and they are bottom of the barrel... Expect to pay around $500 for a decent used one.

I hate to pile on with your other answers, but they're right: you might get a used Stoeger coach gun for that price, and that would be fine for cowboy action shooting, but for a good hunting double, it's going to cost you. The best doubles cost about as much as a house. Literally. There are quite serviceable doubles at more affordable prices, but not that cheap. The AyA 4/53 sells for about $3000. Beretta's Silver Hawk is a bit more. Less well made but a better price are the CZ's, with the Bobwhite selling for around $750. You may find some Spanish guns whose name nobody's ever heard of that are pretty good values, at even lower prices, but not at $200, and the actions won't open smoothly like a well-made gun.

At that price i would buy a tractor trailer full of them.* That is Dirt Cheap for any Good Used Quality Brand Double Barreled Shotgun.* Beware of the seller at those prices.* Possible if the seller doesn't know the true value of what he is selling.* They also could be unsafe to shoot at those prices.*
