Please stick to the choices, but you may add other ideas, after you’ve made your choice.

I choose peace over weapons. And I will stick by that choice.

So why do we need guns? Did the christians go crazy in this scenario, is there zombies? Did jesus come back with an attitude?… need more detail….

I choose THE ONE and ONLY God of heaven and earth. . .
"And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour."(Judg 6:12)

Both, actually. A 9mm semi in a holster and a short-barreled pump shotgun with #1 buckshot.
But since this "End Days" crap isn’t going to happen, this is just academic.

The shotgun would come in handy. Don’t forget to workout though, the obese zombies wont be able to catch you if you do.
Make sure to have a backup gun, so just bring both. We are going to need all the power we have. May Odin save us all.

I’ll take the pump shotgun if I have to choose between those two, because 9 mm ammo is so hard to find right now.
However, it would only be in addition to my semi-auto .32, my knives, and my bat’leth.

I’d choose the 9mm. It’s smaller, better in close quaerters, and easier to free up my hands to do other things like gather food and whatnot.

Shotgun. Most gun combat/action takes place at
short range, usually less than 20 ft.
A shotgun does not need to be as accurate as a pistol.
You just point in the general direction and have a very good
chance of hitting your target. Pistols, revolvers require more
skill to hit the target.
That’s why police often have "riot guns" (shotguns).
It’s also often the preferred personal weapon of combat military.

I reject both choices.
If these are really the End Times as per the religious prophecies, neither kind of gun will do you much good.
The same thing is true if we don’t face the Christian or Jewish or Muslim apocalypse, but "only" some global environmental disaster or plague or nuclear catastrophe resulting from human folly, actually.
If a breakdown in human governments and public health measures leads to some new Plague sweeping the world, for example, neither your shotgun nor your 9 mm will necessarily protect you from it.
If a nuclear-armed government or two makes a big Boo Boo and nuclear war erupts followed by lots of nuclear fallout – the same scenario applies. A gun ain’t gonna save you from radiation sickness.
Similarly for global famine brought on by runaway population growth. Similarly for some consequences of global climate change.
You can try to shoot your way out of famine, flood or drought, but you aren’t going to hit much. I don’t imagine the gun manufacturers or the sellers of 9 mms and shotguns are going to tell you that, though.
