You’ll love it. A lot of people will agree that Remington makes some excellent shotguns. I have an 11-87 and have had it for years — it is great. This SuperMag Turkey shotgun is already tricked out. It has great sights, and extra soft recoil pad — that would cost an extra $150 to $200 if you had that done aftermarket. The AP Hardwoods camo is an excellent camo pattern. It handles the 3 1/2" shells — a big plus for going after big birds or coyotes.
The stock looks a little different, but with that thumbhole-like stock it takes the brunt of the recoil from those 3 1/2" shells — keeps it off of your shoulder. And the 11-87 model has been around for years, as well as its predecessor — the 1100 — and has all of the bugs worked out of it long ago. The 11-87 gun is infallible — works every time all the time. Its a perfect shotgun if you are primarily going after turkey or coyote — and would do very well as secondary duty as a pretty intimidating "home defense weapon".

it’s another modern remington auto. it will take a lot of care to keep it working right. if you are an experienced shotgun owner, i would say it’s a good buy. fast action, nice barrel, and a some slick sights… but i would steer you towards something a lot more simple if it’s your first scatter-gun.

It’s an awesome semiauto turkey gun and like any other remington shotgun it takes rem chokes so you can use it for a multitude of purposes and parts are in plentiful supply so you wont be out of a gun for an extended period of time if something does go wrong.
