Get yourself some 2 3/4 HIGH BRASS shells and after alittle breakin it will take anything……
Had to learn that one for myself……

Well, the easy answer is a light recoil spring. But if you do that, you will batter the gun to death with your hunting loads. Sounds like you have the prefect excuse to buy a second shot gun, perhaps a nice over/under??

I’m not sure how the gas system and the springs work together in your gun. This is the kind of question for a qualified gunsmith. If changing a spring is all it takes, then you can swap the lighter and heavier springs back and forth as you need to. However, if the gas system has to be changed as well, to operate the gun, with different loads; then you may have a real problem.

The Charles Daly Magnum series can’t be converted or adjusted to shoot anything less than 2 3/4" " Magnum" loads. The gas cylinder can’t be adjusted down far enough to fire light field loads. This gun just wasn’t designed for this purpose…..Sorry

hotter rounds or another gun. personally I’d go with the latter I don’t like getting pounded on the skeet field
