How do you effectively use the double barreled shotgun on call of duty 5 (wii)?

I just unlocked it. and it seems like it really sucks. but it took a while to unlock, so it seems like it should be a pretty good gun. is there some secret to using it effectively?
is it pretty much a one-hit kill?

It is actually a really good gun, but you have to use it effectively and on the right maps. don’t use it on big, open maps such as cliffside, caslte etc. Try to use it on courtyard or dome and use perks such as seight of hand and you will become a great player with the shotgun!!!

Try and make your shots count. It has some pretty crazy recoil so it’s gonna take some getting used too. you can pwn with it once you know how to use it
