I just unlocked it. and it seems like it really sucks. but it took a while to unlock, so it seems like it should be a pretty good gun. is there some secret to using it effectively?
is it pretty much a one-hit kill?

Well, try a bit of camping…I use the 360 but it should work on any system. Play Headquarters and stick in a corner, pop out and own with it. If you having problems with the gun itself…try sleight of hand to keep the gun going.
