Close the gun.
Take a dowel or other wooden rod and pot it in the barrel and slide it down until it hits the back of the chamber (it won’t go any further) Mark where the barrel ends. Remove rod, measure from end of rod to the mark.

Those are actually easest to measure. You go from the tip of the muzzle to the rear of the chamber area. This is how you measure all shotgun and rifle barrel lengths – it includes the chamber area.
Revolvers are the only firearms that only the barrel portion is measured. Pistol barrel length also includes the chamber area.
