How old must a Florida Citizen be to purchase a shotgun?

September 5th, 2010 by eranio

I have been 18 for the past few months and i suggested to save a couple hundred franklins in order to buy a rifle or shotgun if i could get one. What process do i go threw, to legally own a weapon at 18 years of age?

You have to be 18 and not have any felonies. Go to pawn shop for a shotgun. get a Remington 870 pump, seriously. dont get a Mossberg from walmart.

    21 for a pistol.

Pick out the long gun you want
    .
You will fill out a 4473 form, pay about $5 for a background check, and the dealer will make a phone call for an instant background check. Usually takes less than 5 mins. You pay your money, and take your gun.

Make sure you have your Driver’s Lic and SS card.
