I have a double barrel 16ga 30″ barrels shotgun with no markings.?

It has small openings at top hammers. Appears like some special rim fire cartrage is used. Any thoughts & who & when was built?

It is a black powder shotgun
Could be as old as 150 years or as new as the 1960′s

Does it look at all like this

It is also possible that it is an old English 16 bore double rifle

If it is an old trade gun it is quite possible that there will be no markings
