Russell Arms shotguns were made in Belgium from 1880 to 1910, for the H&D Folsom Arms Company. This is the same company that made or imported the more common Crescent Arms shotguns.

There were hundreds of small gunmakers in Belgium in this period that made everything from cheap, working guns to valuable fine collectible pieces. It’s most likely you have the former, but you should investigate with auction houses and dealers that deal in antique Belgian shotguns. I found Russells sold in auction recently from $75 (poor cond.) to $400 (very good).

PLEASE NOTE: These barrels are most likely what was called Damascus barrels, that is, hammered steel in many layers. DO NOT shoot modern shotgun ammunition in this gun, as they may cause a catastrophic failure.
