I have 3 achers of land, 2 of which are wooded, I use shotgun to hunt, but Don’t want to have to pay the Government more money to just hunt on my own property. If I do hunt, can I still have a butcher, butcher the deer I get without a hunting licence?

You need to have a hunting license to hunt even if it is on your own property. At least you need to in the two states that I have hunted in.
I have never hunted in Maryland, though.
Out west, you don’t need a license to hunt coyotes. They are not protected whatsoever. You probably don’t need one to hunt squirrels.
Most other animals you would need one, though, even if it is on your own property.

Yes, You need a license. If Dept. of Wildlife catches you the deer you shoot will cost you $5000 and they will confiscate you firearm.
I know it sucks but they have the right to come on your land and enforce regulations. So much for America being the land of the free…..

YES YOU NEED A LICENSE REGARDLESS OF THE FACT THAT ITS YOUR OWN LAND….u also need to buy a tag for the deer…and i think the limit is 1 per person even if its on your land…and it has to be in season….you can also only hunt male deers (the ones with antlers) if you don’t follow the law, then any given ranger or offiicer can fine you for each animal, confiscate your firearm, and possibly arrest you….NOT WORTH IT!!! just go and take the test…i took it and Aced it! its a 10 hour class but i guess if you know the fundimentals you can automatically take the 100 pt. test….70 and higher is a pass…
