I’ve had an 1187 since they first came out. I’ve hunted everything that you can hunt with a shotgun and it has performed flawlessly. My only complaint is that it tends to get a little heavy after carrying it all day in the field. After using it with a sling I make sure my other shotguns have slings also.

You won’t find many people who have problems with their Remmy shotguns, they are well made, warrantied, and plentiful.

    It is a good gun.

I have an 1187 Sportsman. You will not regret this gun. Of course there are very expensive shotguns out there that are very nice, but for the money you can’t beat the 1187. I use mine for turkeys, pheasant and clays. Plus, I plan on using it for quail as well. The semi auto is nice because the recoil is a lot less than pump shotguns. A lot less. If I were you, I’d buy it. If mine were stolen, I’d buy another one just like it.

One of the Best, but I like the Remington Model 1100 myself.*
