Im looking to buy a youth 20 gauge shotgun that is god for turkey hunting and deer hunting i would use slugs for deer hunting not buckshot
that is under 300 dollars

I used to work in a great sporting goods store. I often would come across the same question. I suggest you look into an H&R 1871 Handi rifle in .357 magnum/20 gauge.
This is a single shot break open gun. Very simple, very sturdy. I has 2 barrels so you can shoot 20 gauge shotgun at small game, or slug at deer. You can also shoot .357 mag for deer as well. A hot .357 will put 180 grains out at about 1600 fps. This is awesome power. Buffalo Bore makes such rounds. The also make a 125 grain round that screams at 2200 fps in a rifle. THIS IS A THUMPER!!!
Best part about it, is that it wont run more than 300 bucks new, and will bring good resale.
Also look online, because youth guns are turned over and over, and over. See when the lad gets bigger, the gun often gets sold; usually with low miles. A youth Handi rifle often runs 100 to 200 bucks.
I own a few, and my favorite is the 45-70. It takes super heavy Bear rounds, and comes back for more. They are truly indestructible, with hot factory ammo.

I haven’t priced one in a while but I would look into a Remington 870. They generally run around 250.00 but again, it’s been awhile. It’s also a very reliable shotgun.

At that price, a Mossberg 500 should work for you. Are you at least 18 years old, or will somebody be getting this for you?

dont forget those NEF single shot guns… way less than $300 bucks and they are pretty nifty shotguns.
Watch your local ads… for a few bucks more you might get into a Remington 870 or even an 11-87… if you catch them on sale.

Get a combo mossberg 500 or rem 870 with slug barrel and shotgun barrel

I have an Ithica (not sure which model) and i love it for all kinds of game, took a deer with it, and multiple game birds. not to metion thousands of poor clay pigions
