Is the Remington SPR100 12 gauge shotgun available in Canada? Gun store says no, but catalog says yes!

When I log onto the Remington site, the SPR100 in 12 gauge is available in Cyclinder Bore, with a Nickel receiver and walnut stock. I know this gun is Russian made with a Remington stamp, and have been told by two gun dealers that it is not available in Canada or discontinued. It seems odd to be so publically available online, however. Any ideas? I want to get one into Canada.

Le Baron outdoor sports sell them, they have a call in mail order and 4 store locations.

Gun shops are privately owned and receive firearms from distributors. I only deal with three distributors but there are about a hundred I could do business with. There are a few things I can’t get from my distributors like certain specialty items and some makes of assault rifles.
Your dealer could connect with a different distributor and get the shotgun.
Forget the importation end of getting the shotgun to Canada. Far more trouble and expense than the Spartan shotgun is worth – in my opinion.
