no, a tactical 10 gauge isn’t a good idea, the 10 gauge is fading out, the 12 gauge can often do as much or more then a 10 gauge with less recoil and cost, haven’t u noticed that 10 gauge ammo is harder to find, has a lower assortment of loads and more expensive? you must be noticing that there are a lot less 10 models out there as 12 gauge.
it’s basically what’s happening to the 16 gauge too, the 20 gauge is basically out performing it now with 3 inch shells, shotgun gauges are standardizing around the 20 gauge and 12 gauge, even the .410 bore is being pushed out due to better performance with the 20 gauge, the 28 gauge is going too, basically only being used for competitions now, the 20 gauge beats it too for hunting.

So by tactical, you mean ugly plastic as opposed to beautifully crafted wood?

Not many out there. Reason why they all look similar is they are not popular.
Benelli makes a few. But good luck finding one because since they are not popular not many people carry them.
You can make any 10 gage a tactical style just replace the stock and four-grip. And really "ugly redneck wooden ones"? Dam you have no respect for craftsmanship and quality those "ugly redneck wooden ones" are built a crap load better then those cheaper plastic bodied ones. There is a reason why the wooden body ones they cost more, they are better quality.
ANd have fun shooting a 10 gage they kick like hell and shells cost a lot for those things. You can buy a case of 12 gage for the price of a 10 gage box.

When you mentioned "ugly redneck wooden ones", you lost every single shred of credibilty.
10ga. is way too much gun for a kid to play with… hell, it’s too much for truly experienced shooters such as myself.
Besides that, I seriously doubt you are wealthy enough to feed it’s appetite. Do you know how much 10ga. shells cost?
