Its hard to beat a browning period. The craftsmanship of a browning is second to none. However if I had to choose one going into combat the Benelli would be my first choice. reasoning would be, its built more for functionality than it is for looks.
So if you are looking for something to look good as well, go with the browning. Be warned they make some heavy guns (another good quality of a high end gun).
But, if you want something for functionality, go with the benelli nova.

Which of the Browning and Mossberg pump shotguns are you comparing tothe Bennelli Nova?
Generally speaking, I would rate the Browning, then the Bennelli, and finally the Mossberg.

Benelli is considerably better than Moss, somewhat better than Browning. I truly dislike any Moss pump. -I know they are popular, especially for the military, but personally, they are a huge POS in my opinion.
