Mafia Wars – Other people my level have weapons I can't buy?

I’ve lost to people my level with weapons I don’t have the option to buy on my inventory screen. I started yesterday, I’m level 10. These items include tactical shotguns, 9mm Semis, and AKs. How do I get these?
They rarely have more people than me – and if they do it’s not by much. I have 12 people.
I’ll do some "special jobs" and see what happens for me.

Sometimes you get special items for doing jobs, also more weapons become available when you get more Mafia Members.

well you get certain loot for certain jobs. also you loot when you fight ppl
