Does anyone here have any good links or suggestions on how to upgrade the stock (front bead) sight on a mossberg 500. This is a personel defense gun, but i want more than a lame bead sight.
p.s. this is my favorite gun- anyone intrested in defending their family should own at least one 12 gauge shotgun!!!!!!

You could buy a smooth bore barrel with rifle sights. You could add a ghost ring sight set up to it. This would require either buying a new barrel or having a shight welded to your current barrel. You could add a HI-Viz sight front sight either by yourself or have a smith affix one for you.

I bought a green fiber optics glow front sight for my mosseburg 500 at Wal-mart….it came with a bunch of optic sights for different shotguns too.
It costed like $10-30 or something….it was a long time ago, cant remember.
The only problem i had was that the sight didnt exactly line up straight at the end of thread, so i dabbed alittle super glue in there.
