Should the forearm on a remington spr100 wiggle when shut?

I have a Remington spr100 single-shot shotgun, break action. When the action is open, the forearm is tight, but when closed, the forearm wiggles slightly. Is this normal.
(fore-stock)

When the action is open that fore-arm is holding the barrel on.
When the action is ‘locked up’ the stress comes off the fore-arm.
You might waht to tighten it up, but it’s not a big problem.

If it is the fore-stock that is wiggling you just need to take it apart and fill in the screw holes with some matches or toothpicks and glue and screw the plate back on and let set for a day or so. If the barrel is wiggling then you have a big problem. "Forearm" is pretty ambiguous. We really need to know if the barrel is not locking in place and if it is not I would not be using that gun.

Irv. S. nailed it.
As long as it’s not the action itself that’s loose, then there are no problems.
Tighten the fore-end nut a bit and you are good to go.
