Smith and Wesson/Franchi shotguns?

December 20th, 2009 by eranio

I’m considering picking up a used shotgun. Trading in a p.o.s. Taurus revolver. The gun store has two used shotguns I like.

1) Smith and Wesson 1200 model autoloader (12 gauge) for 9

2) Franchi I-12 autoloader (12 gauge) with choke set for 9.

Both are black stocks. I know Franchi makes good shotguns. Anyone familiar with S&W shotguns?

Smith and Wesson is a very good name brand and does make good guns, reliable guns. If I were getting a shotgun, I would get the Franchi.
These gun are very well made and I think will last longer than the Smith & Wesson. I am a firearms instructor and have been around many many guns.
