So I was in my local hunting and fishing store and am looking for a home protection shotgun. These are the two I am considering.

Remington 870 12 Gauge Express Syn 18" -9

H&R New England Pardner 12 Gauge 18 1/2" -9

the guy at the counter told me the H&R would be fine sense I will not be using it a lot. Just to go to the range to get used to the gun than keep it in the house. I am inclined to go for the H&R sense it is 80 bucks cheaper but still want others opinions on which I should get.

Thank you for your answers.

When i go turkey hunting i use a 12 gauge remington shotgun. Whenever i shoot the shell doesn’t eject and the barrel goes inside the chamber. I have oiled the gun and cleaned it properly. but it doesn’t fix it.

okay wat would be the best shotgun in that price range no mossberg 500 please and would like something a little nicer than a 870 express im thinking the benelli nova pump 12 gauge thats chamberd for 2 3/4 3” and 3 1/2 shells maybe theres a nicer remington in this prive range? give me ur opinion all answers will be apriceated except the ones of the anti gunies
wait i can go to 500$ and yes the express font have good finish and mossbergs are good guns its just that i like all steal and wood but i like the feel of the sythetic on the nova it dont feel ”cheap”

I am looking to purchase a shotgun for duck, goose, partridge and turkey hunting, i’ve narrowed it down to a Remington Model 870 12 gauge but am unsure if i was the normal finish, synthetic finish, or the camo one? does anyone with any expirience know about these? i like the synthetic but it doesnt look like a hunting gun so if anyone has any advice it would be great

Don’t really know much about guns, but am not completely stupid. Well, I have a Charles Daly 12 gauge field version semi-auto shotgun and I know it is chambered for 3 inch shells. My question is, if I get a 3 1/2 shells, will they perform better and will the 2 3/4 perform less better then the 3 inch? Also, can I even shoot 3 1/2 and 2 3/4 shells in my gun, or is it not recommended to shoot either, just 3? Also the shotgun holds 4 shells total, maybe 5, just haven’t tried to push it in with force, but do they have tube extenders for semi-autos, especially for charles daly? Hear they are hard to find if they have any because they are marketed under a different name but is this gun similar to any brands that could have accessories for this gun? Thanks to all the answers! Also I have a modified choke with a smooth bore, rifled slugs be good for this?

Im looking for a new semi auto shotgun and the gun smith suggest these guns. I held and looked at all of them and love them all.
Can you tell me either pros and cons, or what you like about these guns?
Can you also suggest one for me, but only from the ones im aobut to name?
I have been looking at a Benelli M2 Field w/ComforTech or the Browning Gold Superlite Hunter 12 Gauge,

I want to shoot skeet and/or trap. I need a 20 gauge shotgun because I have a back injury and when I tried it with a 12 gauge it caused some pain.
Looking at the Mossberg website, they only mention a 12 gauge skeet choke. Nothing for 20 gauge. What choke would be the closest substitute; improved cylinder, modified or full? Are the chokes interchangeable between these two? I’d save with the Maverick. Seems the Maverick holds 5 1 and the Mossberg holds only 4 1. Are there any other major difference for a newbie between the two? Is there another choke from another maker more suitable? Is there any other sub 0 20 gauge pump shot guns you’d recommend over these two? Maybe NEF Pardner pump? Thanks.

Let’s say I have a 12 gauge, Mossberg 590 and I’m fighting in close range combat. What would be the best ammo for killing my enemy from 1-30 yards?

P.S.- I’m not planning to kill anyone, I’m just curious :P

I am interested in a Mossberg 12 Gauge Special Purpose… But this one is pistol grip only. Can I install a shoulder stock to these type of pistol grips Shotguns?! TY in advanced.

I want to know if 12 gauge shells will fit in the individual MOLLE loops, like on a MOLLE tactical vest. i know they make all kinds of pouches for shells but i was hoping to just fit them in the loops.

Well i mainly go out hunting for deer and grouse
Im looking for a 20 gauge and ive seen some tactical shotguns but i dont really know if i can use them for hunting?
So what is a good gun that is under 0 preferably?
Thanks

Also what do you think i could get for a .410 that is about 3 years old and maybe used maybe 10 days out of a year?

Do you think this is a good one?

The numbers on it are { 3A43 } and the other separate number is { 913 }.* Its a 12 gauge with vent-rib, and a Poly-choke in 85% condition.* How much is it worth? Any other information on it is welcomed.* Thank You all.*
It was Manufactured in Belgium.*

It needs to be short. It has to be a 12 gauge. And it needs to be able to shoot 3 &1/2 in shells. Also it needs to be less than 500 dollars.

I have a L.C. Smith 12 gauge double barrel shotgun I think made in 1904 from the serial numbers.
What do you think it is worth?
Great shape no cracks in stock.

I have currently been using my step-fathers Ruger Red Label 26" barrely 12 gauge, but I’m wondering what other people prefer. I am going to Cabela’s tommorrow to check some guns out. I would like to get my own, and right now I think I will be getting another Ruger but will take awhile before I can afford it into my budget. If you have any other suggestions of guns to check out, that would be great!

I am looking for a black 12 gauge remington semi automatic shotgun for deer hunting. I have been looking around at different guns and i found the Remington 1187 sportsman 12g 26rcmd black (9881) and im not sure whether or not its a quality gun. please help me

I was thinking about buying this 12 gauge Mossberg 500 tactical shotgun:

What is the effective range of a shotgun shell (00 buck, slug, etc…?)

Is a shotgun blast deadlier than a rifle blast?

I’m considering picking up a used shotgun. Trading in a p.o.s. Taurus revolver. The gun store has two used shotguns I like.

1) Smith and Wesson 1200 model autoloader (12 gauge) for 9

2) Franchi I-12 autoloader (12 gauge) with choke set for 9.

Both are black stocks. I know Franchi makes good shotguns. Anyone familiar with S&W shotguns?
