Remington 870 or Benelli Nova??

February 13th, 2011 by eranio

I’ve been debating over this for about 2 weeks now. I am looking for my first shotgun and are stuck between the 870 and the nova. I read that the 870 rust easy. Is that true? Well, I don’t want to spend more than 400-500 on it. Both my cousins own the 870 and the other owns the benelli. They said that both guns are good but whats the difference? which do you prefer? The Remington 870 is 200.00 (in camo finish) and the benelli is 409.00 (also in camo) I will use it mainly for hunting doves, turkeys, and probably squirrels. which gun will be a better choice?
but i have heard that the remington 870 rust after just the first time out in the field? is that true? anyone experienced that before? I want it to last a long time so that I may pass it down to my kids too…

How much would an IC choke for a turkey shot Mossberg 12 gauge shotgun cost?

August 27th, 2010 by eranio

I’m thinking of buying this shotgun but it only has the full choke. So how much would an ic(increased cylinder) choke cost? I’m hopeing to spend no more than 40 dollars on one. Thanks
Oops! Sorry! I’d like to use the shotgun for universal uses(not sure if i said that right) I want to hunt things from dear all the way down to morning doves. Morning doves can fly at almost 50 mph and i wouldn’t want a tight patterned shot for that. The Increased Cylinder would be much better. ;) So i want to attach an increased Cylinder to the shotgun.
Ok you guys obviously arn’t reading what i’m saying. I don’t hunt turkey and i’m not really planning on it yet. I just want to hunt birds like grouse but i need the increased cylinder choke which i don’t have. I’m wondering how much an increased cylinder choke will cost. I think i’m getting the idea that it’s around 20-100 dollars. Sorry if i sound mad

Help with Semi auto shotgun. Browning auto-5?

December 2nd, 2009 by eranio

I’m trying to get my Browning Auto-5 to eject field loads (low base dove shot, 6-7.5 shot), it wont. I switched the block on the inside like it said to for light loads and see no difference. I would like to shoot doves with this gun but it’s pointless to shooting 1 shot at a time. I have 2 shots using my dbl barrel. any suggestions are welcome.

Mossberg Shotguns?

November 4th, 2009 by eranio

Should i get a mossberg 500 or a mossberg 535? I will be hunting birds (doves.phesant.exc), deer, squirrel, and some other small game. I want the combo because of the rifled deer barrel. I want a 12 gauge. i have a 20 and a 16 already. Anyone ever shot both or have both? help me out!
I was leaning towards the 500 anyway. But 3.5 shells are those the ones that are like 8.00 a box? I would like to also turkey hunt.
how much is an 870 express combo. How much is a Mossberg 500 or 535 combo? I have been told that 870 are better but, the Mossbergs are LOTS lighter.
