has anyone used it to kill any type of small birds like turkeys ducks and other small hunting game i know it is mostly a home protection gun but can i use it to hunt small birds like shown above

i was thinking about picking up a benelli r1 pretty soon and was wondering if anyone actually shot one? hows the recoil compared to lever type rifle and bolt action ones? i heard it tremendously reduces recoil is this true? whats your opinions on the cheek pad(comb inserts), you guys prefer the high one, medium, or none at all? do you guys recammend the comb inserts with scope or without as i like to shoot with and without sometimes depending on what type of game and mood i am in. btw i live in california not that it really matters. thanks guys

I am looking to buy a shotgun to go hunting for the first time this fall/winter. I would like something that I could use for just about any of the game that is hunted here in Iowa (deer, pheasant, duck, turkey). I would also like to be able to use it to go skeet shooting. Not looking to spend too much money. I am a 25 yo male (if that makes a difference).
Not looking for a youth gun…just something good for someone new to hunting

So far I am in the castle part of the game in pro mode. I want to know if it is possible to beat the game with only a shotgun and a sniper. I do not want to run out of ammo for both of these guns. I do not want to use a pistol. If i kill an enemy, will pistol ammo respawn?

I bought a box of shotshells today 12 gauge – 2 3/4 length – 1290 velocity fps – 1 oz. shot – 8 shot http://www.remington.com/products/ammunition/shotshell/upland/lead_game.asp
I noticed when I looked at the shell itself, it is labeled as 2 3/4" – 70mm : 3 1/4 – 1 – 8
What does the 3 1/4 mean?

I picked a Vanguard so I could use both the "magic" abilities and have access to pistols, sniper rifles and shotguns.
Anyhoo, I wanna use my Biotic skills, but I don’t know how to "equip" them or whatever. For the record, I’m playing the PC version of the game.

okay so i am thinking about buying a shotgun, but i dont know too much/if anything about them. i was thinking either a remington 870 or 887. i would like something semi auto but would go with a pump if it was better quality.
right now i live in alaska and i got my rem700 30.06 for the moose and black bear. so im looking for something i can hunt smaller game with and of course home protection.

I’m totally ignorant about firearms. Answer this in terms of the pluses and minuses of rifles, handguns and shotguns. I want something that can be used as both protection and to hunt with. Please include what gauge and type of gun I should consider.
I don’t want to spend anything more than 0–if possible.

I live in Ohio where you cant hunt deer with a rifle,(This is fine with me by the way) but here is my situation. There is a lot of wild boar that I could hunt and we are planning to go caribu and mule deer hunting next year. I am a big beliver of the right gun for the right game but I don’t need more than one large rifle since 99% of my hunting is done with shotguns and varmit rifles. I don’t know a lot about large rifles but I was told that the Remington 700 in 30-06 will work game from boar to elk. Anyone agree or disagree? Anyone have a better suggestion?
