which model of the Mossberg 500 12 gauge shotgun should i get???? i am going to be using it for home defense and hunting(squirrel, coyotes, deer, birds, etc, probably nothing bigger than a deer). also i would like a nice flashlight and/or scope, but idk which model to buy, i was thinking about the tactical, or persuader/cruiser. I don’t want a wood stock or anything, all synthetic.
if you think i should get the wood, why? and if i do could i put accessories on it?
which MODEL should i get???????
could i add a pistol grip to the model A?
does the model a have any other names?

I have been looking into getting a 12 gauge shotgun for home defense. I want to say this was on a mossberg 500 tactcal shotgun i saw. They had it on a 6 shot capacity and a 9 shot capacity. Almost certain it was called a speed feed. In the picture it shows that you can store i beleive it was 4 extra shotgun shells in the handle frame of the shutgun just in front of i guess it would be the stock. Sorry dont know much about shotguns so probably just making these terms up. If anyone understands what i am talking about and can please explain to me how the speed feed works. Is it just a storage area to hold the extra shells? Or is that where it feeds the shells up into the shotgun? I am confused because it says there are 6 and 9 shot capacity. Is that including the extra shells in the speed feed or is it 6 and 9 shot capacity for the stock plus what you have in the speed feed?
use the link.

Its the one in the 2nd row from the top 4 from the left its the mossberg. 590A1

The charge is felony assault causing major bodily harm.
I have put down the destruction of my hat, sweatshirt I had to replace that were soaked in blood. My medical bills, and I have since purchased a mossberg home defense 12 gauge shotgun due to the fact the assailant knows where I live and has been contacting all my friends trying to sway their oppinions. Can I justify the shotgun as restitution?

I have 0-00 to get a new 12 gauge shotgun strictly for trapshooting. I prefer over-unders or single barrels. Any suggestions?

I want to know how to write an equation to find out how far a 20 gauge shotgun will fire a round of bird shot at a 45 degree angle north in direction with a southern wind of 5mph.

I own a Harrington and Richardson model 120 16 gauge shotgun. It’s bolt action, and has a 5 round magazine tube. I live in Ohio, and the shell limit for the mag is 3 for deer hunt. Does anyone know of a magazine plug that would work with it? (I prefer to buy it. I’m not good at making things.) Any help is appreciated.

I just bought a mossberg 500 12 gauge shotgun deer field combo when I put the rifle barrel on I noticed there were some imperfections at the end of the barrel around the edge of the crown not going into the barrel just around the edges of the crown is this gonn affect the accuracy of the gun or should I just ignore the marks thanks…..Matt

I have a 12 gauge shotgun with a 4 round capacity. I was going to go dove hunting but the VA Dept of Natural Resources says if it has a capacity of more than 3 rounds it needs to e plugged with a 1 piece filler.

If a handgun actually shot 12 gauge shotgun shells, you would have some incredible dispersal. Does anyone make such a gun? If not, then why not?

Here is the scenario: You have a solid metal door, with a metal frame and it is being locked with a heavy duty lock, not just a flimsy master lock, but similar to that design. You have a 12 gauge shotgun, and can can have any kind of normally available barrel (including sawed off), and any kind of shell (deer slug, buckshot,or whatever). What would be the best combo of shell and barrel to use?

This gun has in a house fire a very long time ago and will need a lot of work, including a new custom stock and forearm wood grip. Would it be worth the money to restore this over 100 year old 12 gauge shotgun?

At the time being i have 1 over under 12 gauge shotgun and 1 pump action 12 gauge shotgun. I want to buy another soon but im not sure if i should buy another shotgun (more precisely a 12 gauge semi automatic), or a rifle (either a .22 or a .17 HMR). I skeet shoot (and hunt) with my shotgun every now and then, but because of the cost i thought about buying a rifle and since .22 and .17 are dirt cheap, i thought about that. I would like to try target practice, but im not sure how long i can go on that without being bored. Please give me your opinions.

I have a Mossberg 590A1 Special Purpose 12 gauge shotgun. It’s has a 20" barrel (cylinder bore), can other barrels with chokes be used with the 590A1 receiver? would it be as simple as taking off my original barrel and sliding on another one with lets say… an improved cylinder or light modified choke barrel?

Isn’t it apparent that shotguns are way more powerful? A 12 gauge shotgun’s caliber is .729, when pistols and rifles come as weak as .22. Not that I’m unhappy with the laws, but I just find it sort of odd.
