remington 11-87 shotgun in 20 gauge?

September 30th, 2010 by eranio

I’m 14, and wanting to srtide away from boy hunting, and i found the remington 11-87 in 20 gauge at gander mountain, it was a reasonable prise 9.99, and I’m really wanting to get it, but how bad is the recoil if I use 2 3/4” slug shells? And this will be a good choice on deer, right?

What all are required in buying a shotgun in Virginia?

September 28th, 2010 by eranio

I am wanting to buy a shotgun. Money is not an issue, but buying one seems to be one.

I am from Texas, but am enlisted in the Army in Virginia. From my understanding I need my Military I.D., Driver’s License and my Orders. I’ve been told I also need proof of where I live. I live technically live in the Barracks, and some bills go there, but I live with my GF. They said I need a hunting or fishing license also…any other things I need?

How do you clean a camo shotgun?

September 21st, 2010 by eranio

I recently bought a new camo dipped shotgun for waterfowl hunting. I usually like to put a light coat of oil on my guns when I store them for long periods. Is it ok to oil the camo parts? or if I get oil or cleaning soliventson the gun will it damage the camo finish?

I want to buy a shotgun and would like to hear some advice from people who owned one before.?

September 20th, 2010 by eranio

I have 0.00 dollars and what to buy a shotgun. I will be attending to use this shotgun for hunting mainly so the accuracy is a must (i know its a shotgun but you know what I mean) but I would like to blow some holes is some targets to, and another must I would have to have is I would like the shotgun to hold at least 6-8 shells. So I would like a shotgun that can shoot stright, hold like 8 shells, but still can shoot the smaller/bigger shells too. Whats your guys advice? Any insight in your thought in which gun you think I should buy? And if could list the price of the gun you are recommending. Thanks all!

I’m interested in buying a shotgun for home protection. Which should I buy?

September 7th, 2010 by eranio

Looking for info on brand names, how much I should pay, where to buy, etc. Not really interested in buying a handgun because you can’t use that for hunting too, and I might want to get back into hunting, which I haven’t done in about 20 years.

Did anyone who bought a Mossberg 500 pump-action 20 gauge shotgun get it with 2 barrels and a scope?

August 23rd, 2010 by eranio

Last year my father bought me my first gun (I was 16 then, first time hunting). He bought me a Mossberg 500 pump-action 20 guage shotgun from our local Dick’s sporting goods store for around 0. when I opened it up it came with the regular barrel and a bird barrel. Also it had a scope on top that came with it. I shot my first buck with that gun and i am planning on keeping it for a long time but my uncle recently bought the same gun and his only came with 1 barrel and no scope. So I was wondering did anyone get the same one as me? It is just a little stock scope that has a see through yellow lens cover with it. Anyone who has this plz tell me.

Mossberg Or Ruger .22 and A Shotgun for me?

August 9th, 2010 by eranio

One of these questions are for me and the other is for my Brother.

My brother wants a .22 Rifle. He is new to the Idea of owning a gun. We both have shot many guns including 9mm, .223, and 12 Gauge.

My brother was looking at the Famous Ruger 10/22 and the Mossberg Plinkster. He likes the Idea of upgrading the Ruger 10/22 but he doesn’t like the Price. He knows that the Plinkster is Cheap and it is very Accurate but he doesn’t like how you can’t upgrade it. WHICH WOULD BE MORE OF A BANG FOR THE BUCK?

For me I like the Idea of a 12gauge shotgun. It will be for Hunting, home defense, and the regular shooting at fun stuff(Junk).

The Shotgun needs to be cheap(under 0). I was looking at the NewEngland Arms, Maverick and a few others. What is your guy’s taste?

I haven’t been hunting in about 8 years. I use to have a little 20 gauge that I hunted with. I’m trying to pick up the sport again, so I’m looking at buying a new shotgun. Any recommendations?

What Is a Good Shotgun for Hunting and Self Defense?

July 21st, 2010 by eranio

I want a shotgun for defense but also for hunting that can accept different chokes. Preferably with a barrel shorter than 28 inches. Most of the shotguns that I’ve seen that take chokes have 28 inch barrels. This shotgun will be for turkeys and intruders.

What is a good shotgun to buy for my son's 18th birthday?

Which is a better shotgun, Mossberg 500, or Remington 870?

July 9th, 2010 by eranio

Despite owning several guns, a shotgun has never been among my arsenal. However, I plan to correct that shortly. The shotgun I purchase will have its primary role as a home defense gun, but I would like the option of changing barrels for hunting or skeet/trap shooting. I would also like some guidance in the 12 gauge versus 20 gauge debate – I would like if my wife and kids could wield this gun as well, so I’m sort of leaning toward 20 gauge, but I understand that 12 gauge is not only more powerful, but there is a greater variety of loads in that caliber.
