My dad, before being laid off, got me this Benelli Montefeltro. It was a gift from his lumber company for buying so much wood that year. This was maybe 2 years ago? Heworked for Avery Edwards, if they bought so much, the Lumber Company would give everyone a gift, (it was a small company.) I was just curious. It’s an awesome shotty no doubt for the exception of a few jams here and again.

I use winchester shells from Dick’s.

I am looking for shotgun ammo just to use to get the feel for my new gun. I dont want to spend per shot just messing around. I am going to be shooting it through a Remington 870 express 3" chamber. Also i might want to use the ammo for rabbits which is kinda one of the reasons i bought the gun. I saw a box of Federal Game Shok its a #7 1/2 shot and 2 3/4 shell they are about 65 dollars with shipping and there is 250 rounds i didnt know if these would be complete crap or if i could use them for what i was going to do. Also i heard of some ammo jamming the 870 if anyone knows a specific brand or if Federal is one that jams the 870 please comment. Thanks

Ok.. I know must of you say that pump is better then semi shotguns for home defense, but I still have concerns…
1) Under stressful conditions, I’m more afraid of short shucking a pump. I know I can practice, but who knows how you react in a true life/death scenario. I think that "I" might be more reliable, if all I have to do is keeping pulling a trigger, instead of having to chamber a round between each shot.. Thoughts??
2) Does anyone know the reliability of the Mossberg 930 SPX? How often does it jam with good ammo?
3) Does anyone have any real statistics on how often the average semi-auto jams?
Thanx!
