I am a First Responder, and often times I feel unsafe responding to certain calls. Is it legal for me to have my shotgun, in North Carolina, lying on the back seat? Lately I’ve been keeping it unloaded with the breach open and the ammunition locked in the glove box. I drive a Honda Accord Coupe so the shotgun is very visible in the backseat. Could I keep it loaded, or at least have some shells in the magazine tube?

First and foremost, I have absolutely no experience with guns or ammunition, so I’m going to need all the help I can get. I’m currently writing a story for a project and am in need of some information relating to firing old and improperly cared for ammo; to be more specific, Shotgun ammo. So, my questions are: What happens if shotgun ammo that’s expiration date has passed is fired? and also, What would happen if wet shells were fired?
Thanks for reading, and possibly answering. I appreciate it!

I just bought a mossberg maverick 88 12 gauge shotgun. It has a 5 shot mag and then 1 in the chamber. It’s the field model with a 28 in barrel and a modified choke. I read the owners manual and is says it can use 2 3/4 shells and 3in shells, can it use 3 1/2 shells ? And can it shoot slugs the way it is or do I gotta change something ? Thanks !

I have a collection of guns but this time I am on a budget and I want a new gun under 200 dollars. I am over 21 and I want another gun. If you name a rifle or a shotgun name one that shoots multiple bullets or shells after it is loaded. Only list the gun and the price please. 10 points to best answer.

I was at the range today with my shotgun.
The ammo got blocked in the chamber several times. I got freaked out to insert my fingers into the chamber and unblock the shell…
Also, when pushing in the 6 ammo into the magazine, can the shells explode in your hands?

I’ve have seen people take they’re Mossbergs and are able to get a couple more shells into the tube. Mine has a stopper in it just as the other ones so you cannot get anymore in there. But you can take them out. Anybody?

My Boss has a Remington Model 10 Shotgun and sent me on a mission to find out why it’s only excepting 2 shells at a time in his magazine tube. He said he can have one in the chamber and 2 in the magazine tube. Now I was under the impression that this model was supposed to hold 6 shells in the magazine. What is the problem? Is it jammed? The spring?

I’m thinking of buying a shotgun for recreational/defense purposes, but I’m not crazy about the typical black and synthetic look most tactical shotguns have. I do like the silver appearance of the marine mag though. If you own a Marine Magnum or have shot one, please give me your thoughts and whether you would recommend one. Can it fire 2 3/4" and 3" shells only, or can it fire 3.5" super magnum shells as well? I don’t live on a boat but I do live right by the ocean if that makes any difference. Thanks in advance for all your comments.

I’m 14, and wanting to srtide away from boy hunting, and i found the remington 11-87 in 20 gauge at gander mountain, it was a reasonable prise 9.99, and I’m really wanting to get it, but how bad is the recoil if I use 2 3/4” slug shells? And this will be a good choice on deer, right?

Hi,
I really need some help and advice. I am pretty new to Shotguns. I have a 12 gauge that says 3/4" to 3" (inches) bore size for shells.
Does that mean i need to buy a 3/4" to 3" cleaning brush to clean the inside of my barrel and my Magazine Barrel?
I have alot of residue and even some paint inside the barrels that’s effecting the action.
Also if i use a brush inside the barrel do i have to put a cloth over it? I was just going to use the Hard Thistles on the brush by it’s self to clean the inside good. I just don’t know what to search for the right size brush.
Sorry for all these questions, But i really need help.
All answers appraeciated. Thanks alot,
Andrew.

What kind of slugs can I shoot from a Maverick 88 shotgun with a smooth bore and a smooth modified choke? Rifled/Nonrifled? Etc. Etc. Please back up your comment with a webpage that can prove your point. Thanks.
Also, it is a 12 GA
it takes 2 3/4 and 3 in shells
