I’m getting in to skeet or clay target shooting and thinking about trying to get in some competitions or something. i currently have a 12guage Remington 870 pump-action shotgun. All the people Ive seen in the competitions have used the over and under shotguns. i was wondering if there’s a regulation as to what type of shotgun is required to be used in the competitions?
Thanks,
Well im buying a new shotgun and ive narrowed it down to those to shotguns what should i get? i have been looking at getting a shotgun for home defense. I do not hunt so i dont see myself getting the combo kits. I heard that the tacticle ones even with shorter barrells you can still be pretty accurate with skeet shooting. So i was wondering what should i spend this on? remington 870 tacticle 7 shoot? moosburg 500? 500 just in case? or benelli supernova (dont think i spelled that right) i heard pardner brand is not that great. Really leaning towards the 870. Just looking for other inputs. I was reading the reviews on the 500′s and some people stated they had problems with the barrell rusting but i thought mossburg was supposed to make great shotguns so i was thinking that was the owner not taking care of the gun. Looking to spend 0 at the most.
I belong to a rifle club, and I am in fact interested in shotguns more than I am rifles. Would you go for a SxS shotgun, or a U/O, I prefer a U/O single trigger, what do you like most.
I have been looking into getting a 12 gauge shotgun for home defense. I want to say this was on a mossberg 500 tactcal shotgun i saw. They had it on a 6 shot capacity and a 9 shot capacity. Almost certain it was called a speed feed. In the picture it shows that you can store i beleive it was 4 extra shotgun shells in the handle frame of the shutgun just in front of i guess it would be the stock. Sorry dont know much about shotguns so probably just making these terms up. If anyone understands what i am talking about and can please explain to me how the speed feed works. Is it just a storage area to hold the extra shells? Or is that where it feeds the shells up into the shotgun? I am confused because it says there are 6 and 9 shot capacity. Is that including the extra shells in the speed feed or is it 6 and 9 shot capacity for the stock plus what you have in the speed feed?

I tell you what, these liberal communists chap my hide, boy.
They are wanting to take away my shotgun and my moonshine.
Well, guess what? America was founded by fundamentalist Christians that believed in the right to have a sawed off shotgun.
Git-r-done!
I have racoons that come by and the get in the trash, so I figured I would saw off one of my shotguns so I can shoot them from a distance without hurting them too much and the government says that’s illegal. Why?
And they say I can’t make my own alcohol? That’s bull.
This nation was founded by fundamentalist right wing Christians, many who made their own alcohol.
Git-r-done!
Do you agree? Are you tired of the liberal communists taking away our shotguns and our alcohol?
Im looking to buy a shotgun and i don’t know what i want. i want a gun with medium power and thats good for hunting. I don’t know a lot about shotguns PLEASE HELP any advice would be appreciated Thanks!

I hate the damn thing! I use shotguns for skeet shooting ok. Every time I go to the gun range to skeet shoot The damn thing, without a doubt always screws up on me and the fired shell does not eject! Would it be worth it to trade it in to a store like gander mountain or should i just keep it?
Weatherby PA-08 Pump-Action Shotgun or Remington 887 Nitro Magnum Shotgun im looking in something that will last me a wile, wont jam as much or not as all, and is in the 300 to 400 price range if there are any other good shotguns in that price range pleas your input is needed.

I am 20, Someone told me that in michigan you need to be 18 to buy shotguns, but need to be 21 to buy rifles, can someone clear this up? is there seperate ages for different guns? or just one age for all? Thanks
I inherited some old shotguns and want to know how old they are and what they are worth.
#1 12 gauge Sears Roebuck Ted Williams Model 300 serial#Q48432
#2 16 gauge Remington Wingmaster 870 serial#556553W
#3 20 gauge Remington Model 1100 serial#L409751K
There are more marks and numbers on them all
i just got the Remington 887 combo and was wondering if anyone has seen an aftermarket picatinny rail for a scope mount. it has three screws on the top so it is tapped for a scope mount. The tactical version of this gun comes with one so there must be something, however i have not seen anything on Remington’s web site or anywhere else for that matter. i bought a weaver rail for shotguns but it didn’t fit maybe a different style or something if anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated
A couple days ago, I bought a Stevens model 311 series h 12 ga. double barrel shotgun. I bought it from my neigbor. We both live in Washington state. The guy my neigbor got it from lived in Portland, Oregon. From what I’ve heard, it’s illegal to trnsport firearms across state lines, but my neigbor did it, not me. So, does anyone have the right to take the shotgun away from me? I also heard that this rule only applies to "handguns", and not shotguns or rifles.
Since I can’t reply to you, just give mr a list or something. I perfer all metal, no clear plastic shotguns and preferably no magazines that stick out from the bottom if possible.
I just recently bought a Nova, and I’ll be picking it up within the next few days. but I really don’t know too much about shotguns. I know I made a great choice of shotgun, I’m just uneducated on them. Anyways, I was looking through the many different kinds of shells, but there were tons of different measurements and sizes.
What shell sizes does a Nova even use? What can and can’t I get away with using? Thanks in advance.
For next deer season. Will the scope stay zeroed in with the recoil of 3 inch slugs? I’ve never had a problem with scopes on my rifles (.30-06, .308) going out of whack because of recoil, but the recoil on my shotgun makes the rifle recoil seem like a love tap.
I can go down to 2 3/4 I guess.
Shotguns are all we can use in Iowa; Rifles I use in WI.
I was thinking about getting a Mossberg Maverick 88, but I was wondering what are some other types of cheap shotguns that are good. Nothing more than 0 please, also what would be the best type of shotgun round for home security?
to learn about the pro's and con's of each as well as the biggest mistake all the "heavy artillery" guys make when choosing "terminator ammo"!
