wen i say slugs i mean full bore slugs and those special slugs like a .50 caliber slug incased in a plastic thing so it fits the bore
which is better in accuracy and wich is a better slug gun with fully rifled barrels for deer hunting and can i get them tapped for scopes…. wat are the price ranges for these and are there better slug guns out there for cheap

I’m looking for a new Semi-auto (light-weight) shot gun that I can put a rifled barrel on and use as a slug gun.
I was looking around and found out Benelli’s semi-autos have an inertia system instead of a gas one. Does that system still use the recoil of the gun? How does it work different from the gas.
(and if you know of any good light-weight semi-auto slug guns please feel free to post any oppinions or info on that) (except Remingtons, I can’t stand em)
Josh, I love Winchester. I own an SX3. However Winchester doesn’t make a lightweight slug gun. And to buy a new barrel for a gun cots 0 with tax. I want something light weight.
I honestly don’t like pumps. They don’t feel very comfortable in my oppinion. They are either to long or two short. (maybe it’s just me)

I need a shotgun for under 0, and i want it to be able to hunt dove, squirrel, turkey, duck, and geese with it (i have a slug gun for deer.) I can not decide between anything i find. It has to be a 12 gauge 3 1/2inch because of the waterfowl.
I have done the research and decided that i want a pump action over an automatic.
I have read some automatics will not cycle 2 3/4inch shells.
Unless someone can say a shotgun that can confirm the a shotgun that is chambered in 3 1/2inch chamber can cycle a 2 3/4inch then i am only wanting a pump.
I also know that there is not (to me) that much of a noticeable difference in cycle times between a pump and an automatic.
I am also going to want one with wetland camo due to the fact that i like waterfowl hunting the most, if not then i will just get a wood and metal version.
So can someone tell me a gun that will fit my few needs.
well i just did some research again and it looks as if i will be buying a browning bps or Remington 870, can someone clarify which would be better for my needs.
i now found that some Beretta’s are nice, if anyone can tell me which on is the nicest or best between these 3(i will hopefully use these for my whole life) then that would be nice.

nevermind….forget the guns, just say what you guys think are the best for a lifetime, i will not spend more the 0 though
ok…i am deciding between a remington 870 supermag, and can anyone tell me a really good cheap automatic?

I am new to hunting and hope to go hunting in the fall. I have a mossberg shotgun. I was wondering if I can use this for a slug gun or should i purchase a diffrent barrel. Or can I just use 00 buck. Also what it the effective range with both. Also since im new to the whole hunting thing where exactly should I shoot the deer?

I live in Nj and just aquired my permit to purchase, one for shotgun and one for pistol. My question is I want to hunt for deer, turkey, pheasant, And some small game.My dilema is that I don’t want to own ten different guns. What would be my best all around choice? I can live with a slug gun and maybe one other gun.I have spoke to many dealers and friends alike and they kinda confuse me with al this interchangeable barrels and all that good stuff.I would love to just write down the name too two guns and go and buy them and start my practice.Any information will be put to good use.I think I just needed to get a broader opinion about this dilema thank you to all who respond…..

I am looking for an adjustable trigger assembly for a mossberg 500 shotgun. Aftermarket of course, but I cannot find one. Maybe someone can help me?
Thanx in advance.
This is my slug gun for deer hunting and the trigger pull is about 12 pounds! I would like to get it down to about 4 or 5 even..

I have a Mossberg 930 semi auto shotgun. I cant use the slug gun in PA because of the semi auto. Can I safely hunt with the gas plug out to make it a manual reload? Please only knowledgeable answers as I don’t want to end up like Elmer Fudd. Thanks in advance.
