I recently did an adjustment to my Benelli… The stock was ridiculously long and there is no adjustment, so I just took the recoil pad off. Still haven’t taken it out yet…
Anyone fire a shotty without any pad? How bad is it?
I have been looking into getting a 12 gauge shotgun for home defense. I want to say this was on a mossberg 500 tactcal shotgun i saw. They had it on a 6 shot capacity and a 9 shot capacity. Almost certain it was called a speed feed. In the picture it shows that you can store i beleive it was 4 extra shotgun shells in the handle frame of the shutgun just in front of i guess it would be the stock. Sorry dont know much about shotguns so probably just making these terms up. If anyone understands what i am talking about and can please explain to me how the speed feed works. Is it just a storage area to hold the extra shells? Or is that where it feeds the shells up into the shotgun? I am confused because it says there are 6 and 9 shot capacity. Is that including the extra shells in the speed feed or is it 6 and 9 shot capacity for the stock plus what you have in the speed feed?
use the link.
got a mossberg 500 cruiser (pistol grip only). cool for the house but significantly less cool for my shoulder at the range. I need a stock, folding or otherwise, and/or a vertical foregrip. I also need to not go to jail for having illegal firearems. don’t know about all that class III/AOW business
I am looking for a Brand New Shotgun similar to the Winchester 1300 or Mossberg 500 Cruiser or similar i remember i used to see the 1300 Defenders with like a Pistol Grip instead of a Stock and a Pistol Grip on the Slide i thought that was cool i think the grips were called tacstar or something? i heard they don’t make the 1300 Defenders anymore? anyway any similar ones to the 1300 or 500???
just something like the one at this link copy and paste
with a thing to hold the Extra Shells a Brand New Shotgun Preferrably i have a long remington but i want something a little more like the ones i mentioned
i am wanting to get a shotgun, i was thinking a remington 870, but then yet i dont know many more models, i love to turkey hunt, and duck hunt, and possibly try water fowl and pheasent, and quail. it needs to be able to have a camoflauge stock, and the right size barrel, i am mainly looking to be suggested a good barrel length and model of any company of shot gun. thanks
On the benelli supernova tactical version, are the open rifle sights replaceable? Can they be replaced with ghost ring sights? I know you can just buy one with them but I cant find that one in stock anywhere. If so point me to a good brand.
Would I be able to install sights like these?
I recently got a Mossberg 500A 12guage shotgun, and plan on using it for home/self defense. I bought a stock already, and plan on buying a ghost ring sight. When I took it to the range, I was unhappy with the spread I was getting in my pellets. What is the best choke for this purpose for a shotgun, what type of ammunition do you suggest, and how do you go about changing the choke on this style of shotgun?
I want to add that I don’t see any threads on the inside of my barrel, like a nut. Will the choke tubes still screw in without one, or do I need to but a whole new barrel? If so, do you hav suggestions on which kind and where to buy them?
I have an old Ithaca Model 37 shotgun. It needs a stock, the magazine tube attachment, and cleaning. I need an estimation on how much I might be investing into it to get it into good shooting condition
I want to fix it up more for sentimental value being it was my grandpa’s old gun
i was looking into buying the Remington 870 shotgun when i seen they have a new model out. the Remington 887, almost totally weather resistant. perfect for hunting. i was just wondering if some Remington 870 stock (the butt of the shotgun) accessories would fit on the 887.
seeing as how the 887 is so new there aren’t many accessories out yet. and the 870 being the most used shotgun in the world i was wondering if anyone knew if i could just buy a 870 stock and bolt it on?
well im just wondering because the Remington TAC1 Air-soft Shotgun is more but it has a stock and the Crosman Stinger Tactical Air-soft Shotgun is cheaper and does not?
Is it just a safety feature? Is there a way to disable it?
I keep my gun loaded with the chamber empty and the safety on, and with a Blackhawk stock it’s difficult to reach the action lock, so was thinking it would be better to disable or remove it somehow…
I’ve been shooting an old 1960s Remington 870 Wingmaster that my dad passed down to me. The recoil is manageable but stout even with the lighter loads (since it’s an older Wingmaster it only takes 2.75" shells). I’m looking to purchase a new pump and try to preserve the old antique Wingmaster. I’m 99% sure I’m going to wind up buying the Benelli Supernova. My question is, will the recoil feel "softer" with the Benelli considering it’s newer and has the Comfortech stock and recoil pad? The Wingmaster is so old it doesn’t even have any recoil pad. When using the same loads in each gun can I expect the Benelli to have more manageable recoil? I want to do a lot of clay shooting on my property with it and don’t want my shoulder to be all beat up. By the way I’m 6 feet tall and weigh around 170 pounds.
Thanks everyone for your replies, I really appreciate it. I’m a bit confused as I’m getting conflicting reports. Some are saying recoil is lighter on the Benelli and others saying it’s brutal. I would love to get more opinions on thee supernova as I’m looking to make a purchase soon. The only other gun I’ve considered is the Browning BPS. I will mainly be shooting clays with 2.75" shells with 1oz to 1-1/8oz shot. To the person suggesting an auto, I currently own a 1100 20 gauge from the 90s, I just prefer the pump for reliability as my 1100 has problems ejecting certain shells.

Im not asking why a shotgun, but why a PUMP shotgun. I am having a hard time deciding what to use for home defense. I already have a Saiga 12 coming. What are the Pro’s and cons of a Saiga 12 w/ intrafuse t6 stock vs a Mossberg 500 w/ pistol grip & buttstock
My dad left his gun sitting out on our sofa and my older brother sat on the gun and the original stock broke. It was my dads first shotgun and i really want to fix it but i cant find the original stock. Any help?
I live in Cook County Illinois and was wondering if it was legal to add a pistol grip to my shotgun and take off the original stock? This gun is for home protection only. Thanks, Mike~!
