I’ve decided to get a Remington 870 12 gauge shotgun. My primary purpose for this gun is to hunt deer. For my area I’m required to shoot a shotgun instead of a rifle. I would like to know if it’d be better to get a smooth barrel or a rifled one and the ammunition that be best for that type. Thanks in advance!

1. What is the best shotgun for home security? Best meaning most accurate and best quality.
2. Is a sawed-off shotgun better than a shotgun for home security? If so, why?
3. What are the pros and cons of a pistol grip?
I’m looking to buy a shotgun for home security. If you have any other thoughts or advice, it’d be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I live in California (don’t know if that matters, but we have so many lame gun laws here…), and I am looking to get a collapsible stock for my Benelli m4. I would like a nice m16 style one, but my searches have thus far reviled little… i saw something that made it sound as tho there is one, not a m16 style, and it is only available to LE/Military. As a civilian what options do i have? Thanks in advance for your time and answers!

I just recently bought a Nova, and I’ll be picking it up within the next few days. but I really don’t know too much about shotguns. I know I made a great choice of shotgun, I’m just uneducated on them. Anyways, I was looking through the many different kinds of shells, but there were tons of different measurements and sizes.
What shell sizes does a Nova even use? What can and can’t I get away with using? Thanks in advance.

I know I just asked a question but I want to restate it… I’m 18 years old and want something for Home Protection that I can also ride around with under my seat for protection. A cop once told me that your Truck is an extension to your home and someone trying to break in your car can be shot just like someone trying to break in your house. If someone Throws a Brick at my window and breaks it, What will happen if I shoot them? (Just wondering). Anyways… What’s a good Pump/Shotgun for Protection at home and in car? I live in an apartment and they do allow weapons here. It’s kind of like a project and people break in cars and things all the time around here. I’m moving in 2 months when lease is up. Thanks in advance and please try to stay in rance of 0-0 for a good gun thanks. 5 star best answer.
Where can I get a Mossberg 500 in New Orleans, La? After reading about them and seeing the youtube videos I want one now, I’m still looking at some others guns as well though.

I’m turning 18 in january, and i want to buy my own 12 gauge. I have no criminal record, and I’m wondering what i will need in order to buy a shotgun. Is there any permits or anything like that? Can i go in there the day i turn 18 and walk out with the 12 gauge??
Thanks in advance.

I’m thinking of buying a shotgun for recreational/defense purposes, but I’m not crazy about the typical black and synthetic look most tactical shotguns have. I do like the silver appearance of the marine mag though. If you own a Marine Magnum or have shot one, please give me your thoughts and whether you would recommend one. Can it fire 2 3/4" and 3" shells only, or can it fire 3.5" super magnum shells as well? I don’t live on a boat but I do live right by the ocean if that makes any difference. Thanks in advance for all your comments.

I’ve Googled it for the past 3 hours and was very unsuccessful in finding what I’m looking for. I want to turn my benelli into more of a home defense weapon because I’ve moved into a more aggressive neighborhood. but the stock gun is WAY to big and cumbersome to effectively maneuver through a house. I was wondering if anyone knew of different models of guns which aftermarket equipment would fit onto my benelli, or something else that might work, I’m open to most any ideas.
Thanks in advance,
Ben

Hopefully someone can answer my question. A friend of mine does house clearances and has found a very old shotgun, he is not sure what to do with the gun as it is worth upwards of £1000. As far as we know the gun has been in an attic for years and was probably not registered ever. I myself hold a shotgun licence. Is there anyway of adding the gun to my shotgun certificate so the gun becomes legal? I can then sell it through a gun shop for my friend? Thanks in advance Ollie

I want a Shotgun for home security and target practicing. I’ve got my eye out on a Mossberg 500 or the Maverick 88 Home security. I also have my eye on a Remington 870; their price is pretty high.
Thanks in Advance.

Usually I would go to Walmart but they now have this dumb rule, 6 boxes per costumer. So I need to know of a good place to buy ammo. I have looked at Dicks Sporting Goods but they dont stock ammo anymore. I have a 12 gauge shotgun and am looking to buy hi brass loads and 7 1/2 game loads. Thanks in Advance!

Which type of shotgun would you use in close combat for defense and why…
Also, what type shotguns do the military/police use? Why?
Btw, I’m not planning to kill anyone
Thanks in Advance.

Just as it says above. I am in search of a holster for a airsoft sawed off double barrel shotgun, and also if anyone would like to recommend a sawed off shotgun…particularly gas-powered, I welcome it, and would very much appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

Help pleas. Thanks in advance.
I know that no shells takes away from the realism, but it’s also a lot less hassle…

Iv been wanting to get a shotgun now for a long time to go along with my s&w 9ve. people have been telling me that i should definitly get a semi auto but i have had my heart and eye on the mossberg 500 security/hunting combo. most places around me though wont have it in until closer to fall. So i ask all of you, whats your opinion? do i listen and get a semi auto or do i stick with what i have found so far and get the mossberg pump? By the way the gun would be used for defense/small game/fun shooting.
thanks in advance!

Why don’t they make rifles or shotguns that use this action? Besides looking cool, it would benefit from the ablity to chamber different rounds of the same bullet size (like my grandmother’s 22LR/22MAG revolver, swappable drums) as well as being a semi-auto that has nothing move after the shot fires (for better accuracy) and can be single action/double action, so you can pull back the hammer for your first shot on a deer, and then pull the trigger through the next five as it is running away. No magazine to misfeed, and very easy to clean compared to what is involved tearing apart a pump or semi auto shotgun.
If they had a revolver-action rifle that was not just a stretched out pistol, but actually looked like a normal rifle if you covered over the action’s area, and it was chambered in a good deer round and you could easily mount a scope on it, i would definitely purchase one if i could budget it.
Thanks in advance!

i wantd to get an airsoft shot gun that shoots 3 BBs. i have saw a few. there is the TSD Tactical 3-burst Shotgun which i like. but the trigger is plastic, si itl prolly break. and the iron sight are plastic and wobbly. mynext choice is the UTG M3 Multi-Shot Shotgun which i have heard is a very good gun with great accuracy. the TSD has more FPS. im just gunna play in my back yard or woods with friends. but please help me choose. or if u have anyother suggestions that would be appreciated. thanks in advance
yea. im mainly worried about the plastic triiger… it will probably break very easily. personally i would rather have accuracy then power.
last thing… im looking around at the UTG. and it is significantly cheaper on amazon. com. it is like 58 bucks.. also u can buy it with a shell holder, 6 extra shells for about 90 bucks. why is it so much cheaper on amazon? is it reliable?
