For an overall shotgun I would go with a pump Benelli Nova. I got one in Sept. and it is great. I’ve used it on quail, dove, and rabbits. Hopefully sometime I’ll get to use it on ducks. It was $300 synthetic black stock. It comes w/3 choke tubes and can handle up to a 3 1/2" shell. For the quality and price I couldn’t resist it. If you are left-handed be warned the safty can be a hassel. It is in front of the trigger guard instead of a Remington which is behind. I put the nove beside the strip down 870 (Remington) and I would be almost embarrased to be seen w/the plain 870 plus it was more money too. My dad had an 870 Wingmaster 12ga. (high gloss barrel and stock)and had had it for over 25years used it every year put through tons of shells and has never had a problem still looks almost new too. You can’t go wrong with what you are looking for.

    Good Luck….

    Don
