what are the most powerful pistol, rifle and shotgun in terms of raw power and rapid fire capability ( for home defense) that can be legally owned in Massachussetts.
NOTE: I HAVE NO CRIMINAL RECORD AND I DO NOT WISH TO COMMIT A CRIME.

Well a rapid fire shotgun is a little pointless; a pump will shot plenty fast enough for home defense. 12ga 3 1/2 mag is going to be the most common although you may be able to find a 10ga. try the Winchester defender or the militaries favorite Mossberg.
as for a semi-auto pistol you get mixed up in a bit of a debate, the .50 is slow and lacks penetration but makes a big hole, same with the .45 acp but better penetration, most testing however has shown that the velocity of the 10mm and .357 SIG (which in a warped way is a remake of the 10mm) and even some high end .40 rounds with a good JHP bullet does more damage, I think your limited to 10rnd mags though in MA so you’ll want to look at sig-sauer, smith&wesson M&P, glock or HK, glock however has unsupported chambers and is not a good mix with high pressure rounds. 10mms are a little harder to find, since the FBI dropped the round it’s become a little rare.
Outside of assault style rifles I’m not to familiar with them, not sure where MA lands with those but the AK variants fire a great round closely followed by the AR’s.
when it comes down to it a shot gun is the best home defense weapon, at close range it does massive damage (oo buck shoot in a 3 1/2 mag, think 15 9mm hitting at once in a 12in circle) and its not likely to make it into the neighbors house as compared to a rifle (likely the next 2 neighbors houses) or the less damaging and very expensive handgun rounds that require more skill to not miss your target.

I am not telling you.

Pistol- .50 caliber, and it is made in the esert Eagle.
Shotgun- a Semi-auto Benelli or Browning that will take a 3 1/2” shell. Id go with buckshot over slugs because of penetration and accuracy doesn really matter as much with buckshot, and it wil deliver a wallop like a slug.
for a rifle- i wouldnt know, not very many people use a rifle for self defense, and it would have to be semi-auto, maybe an AR or some sort.

Massachussetts huh? cruddy gun laws there……..
first of all there is no "rapid fire" option for you in Mass.
the best you can do is a pump shotgun as long as it has less than a 10 round capacity.
as far as caliber there is no restriction…that I know of, but give the gungrabbers time and I am sure they will outlaw all calibers except a .22
There are several classes of licenses and FID cards and requirements for each…I suggest you contact your local Attorney General’s office or State police agency

And vote those politicos who restrict your right to keep and bear arms out of office.

Guns aren’t dangerous, people are. There are different types of power and there are trade offs. There are some handguns that are practically cannons, recoil is too powerful for any serious use though. Same with shotguns, they used to go all the way down to 4 gauge (illegal now) but can you control something that fires a slug that weighs half as much as you do? No. 12 gauge is popular not because of power alone. It has decent power, OKI control and doesn’t weigh too much.
I recommend a pump action shotgun such as the Mossberg 500 or the Remington 870. Pump action is good because just the sound of it makes people poop their pants. Get you a Mossy 500 for 100 bucks and a dozen rounds of 00 buckshot and your ready to go.
