Yes…… And yes Mossberg makes shotguns that are more application specific, slug guns (deer hog), turkey guns and shotguns for waterfowl…..

I think most are a little silly…. For me I just change the choke… I really believe its the hunter – not the shotgun…..

    Consider the Mossberg 500 12 gauge order / catalog # 50120……

It’s "all-purpose" so you can hunt anything with it. You’ll want to change chokes depending on the hunting you do. For turkey you’ll want an extra-full choke tube, for ducks you’ll probably go with full, for pheasant or quail, improved cylinder or modified will do you well. You’ll get the best accuracy with sabot slugs out of a rifled barrel, and changing the barrel on a 500 is easy. If you don’t want to spend the money, get a rifled choke tube and shoot your sabots. You’ll be accurate for deer out to about 100 yards.

    Mossberg 500 all-purpose

    all-purpose says it all

Not familiar with that gun, but "all-purpose" pretty much says it all. If it has inter-changeable chokes, then that settles it.
I would assume you would want the full choke for the ducks, turkey and deer. Then modified or improved cylinder for pheasants.

it would make a very unusual vase. you could prop it in a corner and put some daisies in the end. maybe a rose too. or you could use it as a curtain rod in the living room if you have a narrow window. depending on how much you weigh you could use it as a pull-up bar if you suspend it from the ceiling. you could maybe use it for a straight-edge to draw lines on wallboard when you replace sections in the garage. you could use it as an upper support for a macrame wall hanging or planter support. or you could solder a wide piece of metal to the end and use it for a snow shovel.

I have harvested all of the mentioned animals with mine. Great gun.

Depending on the barrel you can use it for every kind of hunting and home defense. I have three barrels a 18 1/2 in riot barrel, a 24 in cylinder choke for dove and quail, and a slug barrel for deer. It takes about 40 seconds to change barrels and be good to go. You can also get a muzzle loader barrel and one gun will cover most hunting east of Mississippi river.
